Fig. 7 shows the two parts provided with flanges which are united by ,a special form of welding ring 3l jhaving a raised rib at the center and flanges at the'edges. When the parts are pressed together in the axial direction and a strong welding current passed they will be softened at the contacting' points and will flow so as to fill the -on the inner face of the Wheel shown in th Y other figures of the drawing.

Though I-have described with eat particula'rity of detail certain embodunents of my invention, yet it is not to be understood therefrom that the inventionis restricted to the particularembodiments disclosed. Various modifications thereof maybe made by thoseskilled in the art without departure from the invention asjdened in the following claims.
