This invention appertains generally tor new and useful improvements in heating appliancesy and has more specific reference to a novel and simplified gas heater.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide such a' gas heater adapted primarily for use in the heating of houses andthe like and which is to -be positioned beneath the Hoor of the roomfof the house 4or the like in'which it is installed.
Another object of the present invention isv vthe provision of such a gas heater provided wlth a maximum heat radiating surface.
Another object ofthe present invention isv .f to" provide such a gasheater having asso-y ciated therewith a new and novel type of burner together f with improved means for lighting the same.
A further object of the present invention is the provision of such a gas heater includinga casing and a plurality of heat radiatingy baffle plates together withnovel vmeans for Supporting the said plates whereby they may be moved exteriorly of the casing when it is desired to light the burner.
A still further`A object of the present invention is to provide sucha gas heater which Cab while simple and ycompact in construction is nevertheless strong, sturdy and durable; one which is cheap to manufacture and can be placedon lthe market at a reasonable fig` ure,-and onev which will accomplish all of the objects and perform all of the functions claimed; y e y f With these and numerous other objects in view, the invention resides in thel novel coninvention showing the cover in raised position. f

A heater device of the character described, comprising a casing body, a burner structure within the lower portion of said body, an inverted substantially frustoconical body extending inwardly from the under side of said cover and surrounding said burner from its inner end, a depending annular wall extending from th-e under side of said cover and spaced from said body, an annuular flange formed about thel lower edge of said wall and encircling said burner, and a plurality of annular heat'de-A ilecter elements arranged in spaced relation y and cone formation above said burner.
