IMPROVEMENT IN REFRIGERATING-JTABLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 161,694, dated April 6, 1875 application filed February 5, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PAULINE LrBER'r, of Leavenworth, in the county ot' Leavenworth and State of Kansas, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Refrigerating- Table, of which the following' is a specitication:
This invention relates to the construction of refrigerating-tables, and consists of a refrigerating-chaxnber, in combination with a table, constructed and arranged substantially as hereinafter' described.
In the accompanying drawing, Figure l is a cross-section of Fig. 2 taken on the line ma'. Fig. 2 is a sectional top view of the table, with a part of the top broken away to show the Water-chamber, the section being taken on the line yy of Fig. l.

A is the table top, made in two parts, one of which is hinged to the other, as seen at B. C represents the legs. D is the water box or chamber. This box is isolated from the frame E oi' the table by the space F around the sides and ends, and extending under the bottom of the box. This space F is filled with some good non-conductor of heat, as charcoal or similar substance. The bottom of the box D is inclined toward the outlet G, so that the water may be drained out, but that is not a very essential feature. The hinged portion ofthe top is rabbeted at both ends, and closes down to prevent the ingress of air. The waterbox D may be lined with sheet-zinc or other metal, or made ot' hard wood, as may be desired. When cold water is placed in the chamber D it will not be exposed to currents of air, and will consequently be kept cool, and, being combined with the table, it will occupy no space required for other purposes.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination ot inclined box D and rectangular box E, having intermediate space F between them, covered by table A, having hinged part, and supported upon legs G, as and for the purpose specied.
