In a means for collecting and returning condensation in steam systems, the combination with the boiler, of a pair of receiving tanks, steam pipes leading from the boiler to the tops of said tanks, balanced valves in said steam pipes, hydrostatic means for controlling said steam pipes regulated by the water in the tanks, a return from the steam system leading to the bottom of said tanks, check valves in said return allowing inflow and preventing back flow from each tank, a steam controlled three-way valve arranged between said check valves, means connecting said steam controlled valve with the top of one of said tanks, feed pipes leading from the bottoms of said tanks to the boiler, and check valves in said feed pipes opening toward the boiler.
