IMPROVEMENT IN STQVE-DRUMS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 159,888, dated February 16, 1875; application filed October 30, 1874.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM BoEHMER, of Madison, in the county of Dane and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain Improvements in Stove-Drums, of which the following is a specification The outside of my drum A is constructed in the usual form, preferably flattened on the top, the entrance-pipe M passing in nearly to the center. Near the top of this outside casing I place the partition B, fitted to the two sides of such casing, but open at the two ends, which ends are bent downward until they reach near the bottom of the casing. The spaces at the ends of the partition are closed or opened at will by the hinged flap 0 upon the left, and the slide D upon the right, operating together by'means of the wire-con nection E and the rod F, which passes outside. In the central part of said partition is fitted the pipe Gr, open at both ends. The top of the drum-case I is furnished with the discharge-pipe K. The inside pipe G is furnished with the damper H in the usual form, which damper is closed and the two ends opened when my drum is used as a heater, or each is reversed when not so used. To shut off all draft from the stove all are closed.

What I claim is-- v The combination, with the drum A having pipes K M, of the L-shaped partition B, having central open-end tube G with damper H, the hinged flap O, slide D with handle 1 and the connecting-rod E, all constructed substantially as set forth.
