Referring more particularly to the drawings, the numeral 8 represents a bridge meinber substantially U-shaped having the side arms 9 and 10, between which a suitable roller 11 is mounted. The roller comprises acylinder which hasbeen concaved part to conform to the shape of a supporting rod 12, thereby insuring centering of the hanger on the rod. The roller runs axially loose on a shaft 13 which is held fast in .the side arms ,9 and l1.0. vSuitable spacers or .collars 11i and 15 are provided between the roller .ends and .the side arms 9 and 10. The out.- side face of each arm and the end of the pin 13 are flush and fiat, the foregoing structure thus providing a supporting section for the hanger. The side arms 9 and l0 are so constructed with relation to the side members which carry .the drapery that said inembers may be removably'mounted upon `this supporting section. In the present instance .the Ufshaped piece 8- ,9..-1 0 is a single strip originally of uniform width. In order to provide retaining melllS in the form of side projections or flanges on the arms 9 and l0, a portion ofthe bridge 8 adjacent each arm is notched at each side as shown at 1G and 'I 1f? (Fig. 4t). The notches constitute the edges 18 and 19 of the strip as projections relative to the narrow portion 20 formed by the notching process. i

The movable members are preferably prof l vided as fiat strips and are adapted cooperate with the retaining means ,of .the $1.115 porting section. Hook shaped flanges 24 'are formed at the sides of the area 28. The hook portions form grooves which receive the projections 18 and 19 1n the sliding action above described. The structure so far described permits the sliding of the hooked flanges 24 onto the projections 18 and 19. A beveled V portion 28 isformed in the spring which projects through a hole 29 in the strip at 'such a position that it latches against the end 30 of the side arms 9 or 10. Besides the eyelets 27, other holes such as 81 and 32are providedin the strips for sewing the curtain or drapery thereto.

A drapery hanger comprising, in combination, a main supporting member adapted to engage a. support, opposing side strips removably mounted on said member, said strips being adapted for securing draperies thereto, and cooperating means on said supporting member and said side strips to lock said strips in mounted position.

A drapery hanger comprising, in combination, a main supporting section adapted for movement longitudinally along a suitable support, said section presenting a substantially flat face at one side thereof, a side strip adapted for carrying a drapery, hooked fianges on said strip forming opposing grooves between the face of the strip and the hooked portion of the flanges, opposing projections on the main supporting member adjacent its flat side face, said projections being adapted to slide into said grooves for mounting the strip on the supporting section by a sliding action, and means to limit the sliding action.

A drapery hanger comprising, in combination, a U-shaped member, a roller therein carried by the arms of said U to give rolling support to the hanger on a suitable means, opposing projections on each side arm of the U member, a removable side strip for each arm having a portion adapted to abut the outer face of said arm, hooked flanges on said strips adapted to receive said projections in a sliding action of the ,strip onto the arm, and a shoulder formed in said strip to abut the U-shaped member whereby to limit the sliding action.

10. A drapery hanger comprising, in combination, a rigid supporting section having flat side faces at each end thereof, fianges j projecting from said side faces, a strip slidable onto each end, said strips having grooves therein to receive said flanges, and means to limit the sliding action. v

11. A drapery hanger comprising, incombination, a rigid supporting section'having flat side faces at each end thereof, flanges projecting from said side faces, a strip slidable onto each end, hooked flanges on said strip adapted to clinch said first named flanges in a sliding action of said strips onto the supporting section, and means to limit the sliding action.

12. A drapery hanger comprising, in combination, a rigid supporting section, a strip adapted to be secured to said section at one end thereof, interlocking means associated with said end and said strip to automatically lock and hold said end rigidly secured to said strip in a predetermined relation.
