IMPROVEMENT IN MAP-EXHIBITORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 159,335, dated February '2, 1875; application led July 25, 1874.

A, B, and G represent a bracket or frame for hanging on a Wall to support the maproller E, which may be mounted directly in the bracket, one in front of another, as shown, at the right hand of Fig. 2 or they may be arranged in the hollovvr cylinder F, mounted on pivots G, so as to revolve upon its axis to bring the maps into position for pulling them down, a slot, H, being formed for each map to 1 drop through, and an endless cord or belt, I, with a suitable idle v pulley, K, may be employed for turning the cylinder.
Instead of a close cylinder, a revolving rack or frame may be employed.
Any approved kind of spring contrivance may be used for rolling up the maps.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination, with rack A, of the slotted cylinder F H, provided on the inside with a series of rollers, E, arranged about its shaft G, and having on the outside a drive-pulley connected with an idler, K, by a belt, I, as and for the purpose specified.
