My invention relates in general to forms for manufacturing ice, and. more particu larly to forms for use in household refrigerating apparatus.
It is well known that in household refrigerating apparatus ofthe present day, provision is. made for manufacturing sniall cubes of ice for table use. The drawers which are usually provided for, this purpose have partitions which form a plurality of compartments in which the ice is made. When it is desired to use but a few pieces of ice, it is impossible to remove these w ithout removing many more than are desired, slnce 1t 'is necessary. to invert the drawersand knock the ice cubesfrom thereceptacles. This not} only results in a waste of ice but is very inconvenient, since the cubes must be placed back into the receptacles or the receptacles refilled with water. and frozen. The principal object of my invention has beento .provide a device in which one or more cubes of ice may be removed without disturbing the others.
Andther object has been to provide a .device; in which practically all ofthesurfaces of the ice. receptacles shall be exposed to the freezing temperature in the apparatus, whereby the time of freezing is greatly decreased.
Furthermore, my invention is inexpensive to manufacture; simple and convenient to "use: an'dflefiicient in operation.
Moreover, my invention is of such a nature that all the parts thereof may be easily and thoroughly cleaned.

In the drawings, 5 represents the freezing chamber of a refrigerating apparatus in which is provided a compartment 6, having a bottom 7 and a top 8. 'An opening 9 is prov ded in the face of the-wall 10 of the freezing chamber of suficient size to permit the device to be placed into the'compartment 6. i I My device comprises a rack 11 having a top 12 and sidewalls l3. Formed in the top 12 is a plurality of openings 14. A plurality of-ice receptacles or cups 15 are provided, each being so tapered as to permitthe ice cubes to beeasily removed therefrom.
Each of these cups is also provided with rounded corners so that it may be kept clean without difficulty. Each of the cups is de-' signed to fit into one of the openings 14 and each is provided with a flaring upper edge 16 which engages with the top 12 of the rack .and holds the cups in position.

From the foregoing,it will be obvious that any number of the cubes of ice may be removed from my device by taking the desired number of cups from the rack, without. disturbing the other cupsor the ice cubes contained therein.
Obviously some modifications of the-details herein shown and described may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention or the scope of the appended claims; and I do not therefore wish to be limited to the exact embodiment herein shown and described.
Having thus described my invention what I claim is 3 ,1. An ice form for the production of in dividualblocks of ice in mechanical refrigeration comprising a rack having a top formed with a plurality of individual openings and with means at the bottom thereof for slidably supporting the same, and a plurality of removable, individual cups fitting into the openings and supported by the rack'.

An ice form for the production of individual blocks of ice in mechanical refrigeration comprising a rack having a top formed with a plurality of individual openings and with side walls for slidably supporting the same, and a plurality of'removable, individual cups fitting into the openings, the cups having flanged upper edges,
whereby they are supported by the rack.
