10. A machine of the character described comprising means to Arotate articles .bearing `designations and provided 'with projections, said means including one or more rotative designations and provided with projections,-
said means including one or morerotative members movable relatively tothe articles to engage and release the same, a retainer for the articles, stop means to engage the projections of the articles to stop them with their designations in a deiinite position with respect to their final position of deposit, and reciprocative means toengage the articles when positioned by the stop means and deposit said articles with -their designations in position to be observed.
12. A machine as set forthin claim 11, in which the reciprocative means includes fingers adapted to engage said articles, said fingers being carriedby rockable arms to move the lingers from article receiving to article depositing-position, and vice-versa,
. with means to retain the articles suspended and means to actuate said arms.

A machine of the character described comprising means to position articles 'bearing designations with their designations in a definite position with respect to their final deposit, gripping means to re position of articles and deposit them succeive said cessively with their designations in position to be observed, a receiver for the articles open at the top and lbottom-and provided therein, a pair of spaced racks connected with the receiver, a gear adapted to mesh with said racks alternately, means to move one rack out of mesh and the other rack'l v.ceiver'for charging the articles therein.
