interlocking'fastener.construction as shown in my application that was filed April 28,
'1924, Serial No. 709,643, and the object of my improvement is to provide stop means for limiting the closing movement of the slide in the form of a unitary piece that` serves by its lateral ends to connect the individual s ringmembers to the fabric and that has the intermediate portion vof appreciable length so as to provide for a permanent and positive lateral spacing of the adjacent portions of said spring members.
In the accompanying drawing Figure 1 is a plan view of a set of fastener devices mounted onthe-two sides of a gap in fabric or the like, a slide for operating the same, a'stop device at the Xedly closed end, and a'bridging stop device embodying my invention at the other end.

Figure 4 is a sectional View on the line 4 4 of Fig. 1 showing the bridgingdevice and the adjacent portion of the slide in the engaging position with said bridging device, other parts of the slide being shown in side elevation.
Figure 5 vis a rear elevation of the bridging device.
My improved fastener combination comprises a set of fastener devices that consist of a series of left hand active locking inembers on the left side of a gap l11 between the opposed edges 12 of a pair of strips 13 or the like of fabric and a series of right hand active locking members 14 on the right side of said gap 11 and which locking mem? bers are in the case of each series integrally connected and parts of a coil s ring struc ture. That is to say, the left and active locking members 10 are parts of the left spring 15 and the members 14 are parts of the spring 16.
At the rear ends the springs 15 and 16 are ixedlyninterlocked and held together as well assecured tothe fabric by means of a clip 17 that has suitable prongs for penetrating lthe fabric and being bent over t0 eii'ect the necessary holding, said clip 17 serving as a stop for limiting the inward movement of the slide 18 1n comprises a top plate 1 9, a bottom plate 20, with a space 21 between said plates for ad- `mitting the springs 15 and 16 and an inte-J' gral connecting neck 22 of return bend form for interconnecting said lates 19 and 20.
The top plate '19 has pen ent lianges 23 at the lateral edges for guiding the springs 15,
and 16.
4 The slide 18 has'at the lower or rear end a mouth or opening 25 between the plates 19 and 2O that is an operative fit for the two springs 15 and-16 in interlocked position.
At the upper or forward end of the slide 18 the springs 15 and 16 make their exit in divergent relation through individual spaced outlets 26. Upper guide walls 27 are provided by swaging the material at the junctions of the top plate 19 and bottom plate 2O respectively with the structure of the neck 22, the two armsof the neck being pressed substantially together, said guide walls 27 convergin inwardly and downwardly or rearward y, and meeting in substantially V-formatio 1 Adjacent the apex 28' of said V-formation the arms 29 of the neck 22 are perforated to admit a rivet structure 30, substantially as in the application above referred to.
