IMPROVEMENT IN COMBINED BODKINS AND TWEEZERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 155,460, dated September 29, 1874; application filed June 5, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY S. MYERS, of the city of New York, State of New York, have invented a Combined Bodkin and Tweezers, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to combine a bodkin and tweezers in one instrument or tool, that it may be conveniently carried in the pocket by admitting of being opened and shut,
Fig. 2 shows the combined instrument'or tool open and ready for use, a representing the bodkin, b the tweezers, and c the spring.
Fig. 3 shows the bodkin and tweezers combined in one, closed.
For the use of surgeons, a small shoulder is made on the bodkin, so that the end of the spring fits against the shoulder.
I claim- As a new article of manufacture, the combined bodkin and tweezers, constructed as described, so as to form one instrument or tool, which may be opened and shut, the bodkin shutting in between the tweezers, substantially as specified.
