State of lllissouri can he found large deposits of a material known as asphalt sand rock or asphalt lime rock. Owing to thep'eculiar greasy nature of the material it has not. been possible,heretofore, to utilize it for any useful urpose. Attempts have been niade to emp 0y the material in road lmilding but because of the ahsence of a binder suitablefor holding together the rock particles, such attempts have been unsuccessful.
