IMPROVEMENT IN NECK-YOKES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 153,967, dated August 11, 1874; application filed May 29, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MICHEL Runes, of Assumption, Christian county, Illinois, have invented a new and ImprovedNeck-Yoke Attachment, of which the following is a specification:
In the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 represents a side elevation of my improved neckyoke attachment, and Fig. 2 a sectional end view of the same.
The object of my invention is to provide an improved neck-yoke, by which the wearing out'of the breaststraps, both on the flat side and the edges, is prevented, while it allows a the breast-straps to work freely, and obviates the jerking of the horses neck and the injury frequently caused by it.
My invention consists of a bracket attach ment to the ends of the neck-yoke, which sup ports a loose roller, and side washers for the ready adjustment of the breast-strap.
In the drawing, A represents a neck-yoke of the usual size, to each end of which'is applied, by a socket-band, a, and fastening-bolt b, the supporting roller-bracket B. Having thus described myinvention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- A neck-yoke supported at both ends by a double supporting-bracket, B, carrying lateral shaft, with loose roller 0 and side washers D, all combined for the ready and free adjustment of the breast-straps, substantially as set forth.
