Be it known that I, FRANK H. HoUGiI- LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cincinnati, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Adhesive Binding Strips for Closing and Reclosing Packages, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to means for closing and reclosing packages for general use but is particularly adapted for use in closing and reclosing parcel post packages and packages for sending goods by express 0r otherwise and especially when it is desired to use the cartonv or ybox for return or reshipping. l

The objects of my invention are to provide simple and convenient means for securely closing and conveniently opening and reclosing packages without the use of strings or cords to interferewith the convenient handling of the packages and without mutilating said packages and also to furnish inexpensive means for this purpose that will be neat and render the packages convenient for handling.

My invention consists in providing` closing binding strips preferably of adhesive paper, cloth or other similar material which is adapted to be pasted across the flap or lid of the package and the body thereof when the lid or package is in closed position, whereby said package is held closed; and it consists further in providing a reclosing adhesive binding strip lor sticker which has directions upon one end for using the closing binding strip and reclosing binding strip, said direction end being pasted upon the outside of the package and having its other end extending into the package and inaccessible until the package is opened by cutting the closing binding strip, whereupon the reclosing binding strip maybe detached and used for reclosing the package, or if desired,the directions may be pasted or printed directly upon the outside of the package and a detached reclosing adhesive binding strip placed within the closed pack-V age.

My invention further consists in the construction, combination, and arrangement of .parts asherein set forth and claimed. r
