UNITED S'IA'IEs PATENT OFFICE.
FILBERT L. WRIGHT, OF BRISTOL, CONNECTICUT.
IMPROVEMENT IN CURRV-COMBS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 152,542, dated June 30, 1874; application filed April 7, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FILBERT L. WRIGHT, of Bristol, Hartford county, State of Connecticut, have invented an Improvement in Curry- Combs, of which the following is a specication:
My invent-i011 consists in a curry-comb having a revolving plate, and also in a currycomb having its teeth pressed from the ridge of a single corrugated plate.
Figure l in the accompanying drawing is a perspective view of my invention. Fig. 2 is a part longitudinal section of the same.
A is the corrugated plate of a single piece of metal, having its ends secured to the rod cross-pieces F F by bending. The side frames B B' are riveted to the cross-pieces F F', the ends of the rods C C are inserted in the handle D, While the opposite ends are bent to forni a right angle, to allow the comb space in which it may revolve. Eyes are formed on the outer ends of the rods C C', which are slipped over the journal d. The latter are secured to the side frames B B. Any suitable catch or fastening device may be used to retain the comb in a fixed position. I have shown one form, which consists of a flat bent spring, E, which is secured to the handle, While its opposite curved end engages with the frame and holds it securely.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. A curry-comb having a revolving combplate, as set forth.
2. A comb-plate formed of a single corrugated piece of metal, having teeth on its ridges, as and for the purposes set forth.
