Be it known that l, LEONARD MicnAnL, a citizen of the United States. residing vin Brooklyn. in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a. new and useful Improvement in Containers, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relatesin general to tearing strip cans and has more particular reference to cans of large size and where it would be inconvenient or impracticableto wind astrip from the entire circumference of the body in a single roll upon a key.

An important object of the invention -is the provision of a side opening 'tearing strip canso constructed and arranged that cans of large diameter may be conveniently and expeditiously opened.
