seconcl boiler which i 'q l ce vaporized. Tie T er serves to generate ancl is itseli concl To all whom it may concern: Be 1t known that l ESKIL Zen of the lluiteul gatates resirliug Soho nectady, in the county oi Schenectady J ooiler a 5 State of New Yorlt, have inven eoi certain first boiler go new anol useful Improvements in Electric 0 l ooilers, of which the following a speci yths figur i a ncation. boiler apparatus emuc' T118 Preseili llllentmfi the boilers being Ell'fi imi. boilers oi the type in which 0.2 electrocles slip into li uol contains 1 a to the drawing, 5 in a ing and generate vapor b *he passage oi of: suitable boiler con electric current through the Usu-= L project one or more elev ally the liquiol is Water anti the vapor gentwo shown in the present stance: eratecl is steam but my inyei ion. is Well As is Well untlerstoo(l the numbers c m adapted for use with other qui is as is trotlcs among other things the pointed out more fully hereinaftero Chamois 1 f the current supblietl The so In connectlon with electric boilers rangenient shown is to be taken as 2i condition is sometimes met Where it 01 any suitable type of electric boiled L0- is not practical to apply the elec c current atljacent boiler 5 is a second boiler 2? 76 having a lic uicl feecl pipe andl tlsc arge pipe in boiler 7 is a CU--.4. 01 It the source of electrical energy structure 19 connected atone encl by able ancl to be usecl tor generating; the top of boiler a and at the is of low voltage it may be that th A pipe the of b (fo'r example, pure Water) 01* 4 '5 c; I 'iormctl a closecl cite" resistance to the passage of cu directly to the liquid; to be yapotizecl llu. stances of thls ass as follows:

The object of my inventio an electric boiler which will any of the above or similar o e ectrical practical manner and for a cousitl ii any sui r What I believe to be novel anti have h ooe x t attention is directed to the accon l 'uicl in the boiler cc description ancl the claims appe i ctrotles to vary the den According to my invention cey are submerged in too wa er: boiler containin the electrooes ano use is.-
gen in boiler flows it a liquid suited to the voltage available through. V v
' K and. heats the liquid, therein he and it then utilize the Vapor thus vaporizing it. The vapors are then carried oil through pipe 9 to the point Where .they are to be used. The vapors from boiler in passing through heating coil 10 are condensed and returned to boiler 5. There is thus established in connection with boiler 5 a closed heating system. This makes it a very simple matter to regulate boiler 5 because the same liquidis boiled continuously and its makeup or electrical resistance does not change. i
The boilers may be run at various temperatures and pressures to meet the requirements of particular cases. Usually it will be desirable to run boiler 5 at a substantially higher pressure and temperature than boiler 7, so there will be rapid interchange of heat between the two and the size of the coil 10 kept Within oractical limits.
Some specinc examples of applications of my invention as follows:
A condition be met wh re low voltage current is available use in opera boiler and the liquid to he vap rized, for example, is quite pure so t -tiii lb has a higi r "istance', in s" h a the boiler may as supplied .W a Water so tion of calcium chloride so or similar substa ce which h tion having relatively low electrical resistance. The liquid oi high res'stance to he ooilet ple Water,
to boiler 'i and is vaporized from boiler 5 coil or pipe Again a con on may he met with T high voltage cu r nt is and th 5 uid to he vaporized has a relatively low resistance for example impure Water. in this case a liquid having high electrical resista-nce, for example pure Water be used the boiler 5 and a liquid having low resistance, for example impure vaporized boiler 7.
in other applications of my invention, it will. be clear "with eithe high resist ance liquid or low resistance liquid used in the boiler 5, any desired liqrxl may be vaporized in the'boiler 'Z'.
it me boiler 5 utilize the ors thererrom to stance of lower boiling point i furthermore, use a substance 1 ch has a hii h boiling noint and -With the apparatus which I now consider to represent the best embodiment thereof, but I desire to have itunderstood that the apparatus shown is only illustrativeand that the invention may be carried out by other means. 4
