BRICK SCRAPER.
Application filed November 17, 1923. Serial No. 675,373.
This invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which z- Figure 1 is a plan view of the device.

Figure 1 is a section on line 1-4 of Fig ure 1.
Figure 5 is a section on line 5-5 of Fig. ure 2.
Figure 6 is a detail view.
In these views 1 indicates a base upon which the uprights 2 are supported, these uprights supporting the platform 3 which is provided with a circular hole 4. A stationary shaft 5 is supported in upright position upon the base by having its base 6 bolted to the base 1. This shaft is provided with a large circular part 7 which forms a bearing for a pulley 8, the pulley resting upon the ball bearings 9 which engage a shoulder of the base 6. A. pair of spaced rings 10 are connected with the pulley by means of the framework 11 so that the rings and the framework will rotate with the pulley. These rings support a plurality of radiating shafts 12 upon which are rotatably mounted discs 13 which are spaced apart by the spacing rings 14. A bushing 15 may be placed on each shaft which acts to space the rings apart and upon which the discs and spacers are placed. A circular platform 16 is carriedby the upper end of the shaft 5 and this platform is of practically the same diameter as the inner ring so that it leaves a space between itself and the platform 3 through which the discs 13 project. Ball bearings 17 are placed on top of the pulley and the race. 18 therefor is adjustably held in place by means of the nuts 19 engaging the screw threaded part of the shaft 5. An oil passage 20 is formed in the shaft for permitting the ball hearings to be lubricated.
From the foregoing it will be seen that when the pulley is belted to any suitable source of power the rotary movement thereof will be communicated to the discs 13 which are moved in an annular path bodily. These discs project above the platforms so that when a brick is placed in engagement with the projecting parts thereof said discs will be rotated and thus the brick will be scraped and freed of mortar and the like.
It is thought from the foregoing description that'the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is 1. A machine of the class described comprising a rotary member, radial shafts carried thereby, discs rotatably mounted on the shafts, a platform having an opening therein through which the discs extend and means for rotating the member.
2. A machine of the class described comprising a supporting frame including a platform having an annular opening therein a stationary shaft supported in upright position in the frame, a rotary frame carried by the shaft and having ring-shaped parts arranged adjacent the opening, radial shafts carried by the ring-shaped parts, discs rotatably mounted on the shaft and projecting through the opening and a pulley connected with the rotary frame.
