Our machine is preferably made up of two separate compartments, A, the food display compartment, and B, the compartment housing the driving mechanism and the like and are separated by the guide plate I. Said guide plate is supported by the base plate 2 and spaced apart therefrom by the spacer members 3 and th stationary frame members 4. Said base plate 2 is mounted on a base 5 preferably of wood and secured thereto in any convenientmanner. The plate 1 is surrounded by the annular member 6 adapted to support the upper frame work and is secured to the plate 1 by the supporting members 7 securedto the under sides of said plate ,at its periphery and said annular member and serving also as a sill for the upper edges of the collapsible enclosure. Mounted on the upper side of said annular member and the plate 1 near the edge thereof are the frame members 8 adapted to support the glass plates 9 forming a panel-like enclosure for the food display compartment A. Mounted on the upper portion of said frame 8 is the cover 10, which may be readily removed when desired. Said cover 10 is provided with a hand-hole 10* so that the food compartments may be readily replenished therethrough. A hand-hole cover 11 is provided to cover the opening 10 in said cover 10. A knob 12 is provided on said hand-hole cover and extends therethrough. Bolt members 13 are pivotally mounted on the inwardly extendng end of said knob 12 adapted to engage the under side of the cover at the edge of the openingeby turning the knob 12 slightly as shown st in Fig. 1 of the drawings. Cli s 13" are provided on the under side of sai covers 11 to guide the bolts 13.. The collapsible enclosures 14 and 15 enclosing the compartment B consist of substantially narrow members 14' and 15? secured together by the fabric mounting 16 secured to the back of said members in any convenient manner, thus permitting said collapsible enclosures 14 and 15 to be readily removed and rolled up as desired. Said enclosures 14 and 15 are hinged at their one end to the stationary frame-members 4 by the hinges, 17 and are secured together at their free ends by the latch members 18 and 19 as shown best in Fig. 2 of the drawings.
Mounted in the enclosure B, preferably on the under side of the guide plate 1, is a motor 20 connected to a source of electrical energy by the conductors 21 through the switch 22, as will be described later. Said motor 20 is directl connected to a worm 23 throu h the fiexib e coupling 24 connecting the s aft of said worm and -said motor.
Said worm 23 engages aworm gear 25', both of which are mounted in a ear casing 26 supported on legs-26 secure to the lower plate 2 as shown best in Figs. 5 and 6 of the drawings. The worm gear 25 is provided with a shaft 27 journaled in said gear case and the plates 1 and 2-. A gear 28 is secured on the shaft 27 above said gear case adapted to engage a pinion 29 secured integrally to the vertical shaft 29 located and ournaled centrally in the plates 1 and 2. aid shaft 29 is provided at its lower end with a combination 'thrust and lateralball bearing 30 adapted to take care of the downward and lateral action of the shaft. A bushiiig 31 is provided in the plate 1 to receive t e enlarged portion 29 of the shaft 29 and extends above said plate serving as a stop for the knife supporting member 32. A disc 33 is mounted eccentrically on the shaft 29 shouldered against the enlarged portion thereof above the late 1 and the hife supporting member adh'pted to engage at its periphery the ball bearings 34-mounted on eit er end of the knife supporting member 32 for imparting to the knife mounted on said knife supporting member a reciprocatingmotion. Said knife supporting member 32 is guided and retained against the upper surface of the plate 1 in its reciproeating movement by the guide 35 secured to the upppr surface of the plate 1 on either side of t e'- knife supporting member. collar 36 is mounted on the upper reduced portion of the shaft 29, adjustable longitudinally thereon, Mounted on said shaft above the collar 36 is the thrust bearing 37 adaptedito carry the more slowly moving gear 38 and container carrier plate 39 which 53 extending Said shaft 50 extends above the upper plate 1 and is provided at said upper end with a pinion 51 secured thereto adapted to engage the gear 38 secured to the under side of the carrier plate 39 and mounted on the shaft 29 as shown best in Figs. 5 and 6 of the drawings. The containers are secured to the container carrier plate 39 in an annular row in spaced relation with each other and extend outwardly therefrom. The containers 40 and 45, as shown best in Fig. 1 of the drawings; are adapted for bread containers whereas the containers 41, 42, 43 and 44 are ada ted to receive the filler-portions of the san wiches. Said containers are further supported and reinforced with each other by means of the slotted cam supports 52 and between the containers and variously spaced vertically with relation to each other. Suspended in each of'the bread containers 40 and are the wei hts 54 provided at their lower sides with ownwardly projecting lugs '54. Said weights are secured to the cables 55 which pass through the holes 56 in the supports 56 and are provided at their upper ends with loops 55 to limit the downward movement of the weights 54. Said weight cables 55 are long enough so that the last slice of bread in the container can be cut and used in making the sandwiches. It will be here noted that the loaves of bread used in making the sandwiches are considerably longer than the depth of the container andtherefore project considerably above the to of the same as shown b dotted lines in ig. 2 of the drawings; t at the weights 54 are held in position on said loaves by the lugs 54 on the lower side of said weights; that the supports 56 rest on said weights and that t cables 55, being flexible, will not interfere with the cover 10 of the compartment A but will be permitted to dangle at the sides of the loaves until the same have been used sufficiently so that the loaves and the members 54, 55 and 56 will resume the position as shown in Fig. 6 of the drawings. In order to take care of any variation in the cross section of the loaves of bread used in connection with our machine we have provided an adjustable takeup plate 60 within the bread containers on the leadin side thereof. 1: will be here noted that in making sandwiches the bread enclosing the filler thereof is preferably made from slices of uniform thickness but that the thickness of the fillers of said sandwiches vary in accordance with the kind of filler and we have provided means for regulating the slicing and the thicknesses of the various fillers and also a means for selectin the various fillers or selecting the sandwich desired. The cam.
supporting member 52 reinforcing the food containers near their lower ends are provided with slots 52' adapted to receive therein the came 66 which aretangentially adjustable on said support and are all adapted to engage the same pawl. The cam sup-' porting members 53 are similarly mounted on the various containers but variously spaced from the supports 52adapted to receive in their slotted portion-the tangentially and radially-adjustablecams 67. Said cams '67 are positioned above and behind the cam 66 permitting'the latter cam to engage its tripping pawl before the cams 67 engage the slice regulating fingers 68 and 69. The slice regulating finger 68 is adapted to be engaged by the cam 67 between the containers 44 and 45 for setting the slice regulating plate 70 with respect to the cutting edge of the knife 64 for slicing the bread in the containers 45 and 40 respec- I tively. It will be here noted'that since the slices of bread are preferably made of the same thickness and since the bread container 40 follows the bread container 45 in a path around the shaft 29 it is not necessary to reset the slice regulating late between the two bread containers and t erefore the cams 66 and 67 are eliminated on. the supports 52 and 53 between. the two said containers. The remaining four radially adjustable cams 67 are variously spaced vertically and correspond in height with the various positions of the finger 69 as shown by solid and dotted lines in Fig. 10 of the drawings. The finger 68. is sec red in the collar 71 which is fixedly secure near the top of the vertical shaft 72 which is revolubly mounted in the journal 73 secured to the top face of the plate 1, as shown best in Figs.
7, Sand 10 of the drawings. The finger 69 is secured in the collar 74 which is shlftably mounted on said shaft a key being provided in said collar adapted to ride in the longitudinal key seat 7 2 in said shaft. Said collars 74 is reduced at its lower end 74 to receive the collar'76 which is revolubly mounted thereon and riveted in place as shown in Fig. 10 of the drawin s. Said collar 76 is provided with a hand e 77 extending outwardly therefrom adapted to raise and lower the finger 69 as desired.
The reduced portion 77 of said handle also extends through slots 79 and 79 of the index plate 79 which is secured at the front of the machine to the plate 1, a portion of the glass plate behindsaid index plate being cut away. The vertical slot 79 in said .index plate permits the reduced portion of the handle 77 to be shifted vertically therein into the various cross slots 7 9, communicating with said vertical slot, which per-' init the handle and'therefore the fingers 69 to be held in certain relative positions corresponding with the vertical positions of the four radially adjustable cams 67 before mentioned. Said handle 77 is retained in said cross slots by the tension spring .78 secured to said handle and .said finger 69.
Mounted on the shaft 72 is the. ratchet 80 secured to the same above the journal 73. The pawl 81, adapted to be engaged and tripped by the cams 66, .is pivotally mounted on the boss 73* secured to the base of said journal and is adapted to engage the ratchet 80 retaining the shaft 73 in its revolved position when shifted by the cams 67 until tripped by the cams 66. A spring '82 is mounted on the boss 73, secured thereto at one end and secured at its other end "to said pawl adapted to hold the same in engagement with said ratchet. A bevel gear 83 is mounted on the lower end of the shaft 72 extending through the plate 1 and enslots 88 of the sandwich receiving container 88 and upwardly through the plate 1 adapted to support the free edge of the slice regulating plate 70 and regulate the movements of the same as previously described and as shown best in Figs. 7 8 and 10 of the drawings. Said regulating plate 70 is a comparatively flexible plate and is pivota 1y mounted at its other edge in the sub recess 1" in the circular guide channe1\1 of the late 1 and is held in a flexible position ush with the bottom of'said channel by the bolts 89 countersunk in the top edge of is a finger operating lever 103 near the up' fingers 104 are surface of said regulating plate and which extend downwardly through the plate 1 and are held downwardly by the springs interposed between the nut of the bolt and the underside of the plate 1. In order to receive the constituent elements of a sandwich after they are sliced and combine the same to form a sandwich we have provided finger and lever means opera-. tive directly by the position on the various containers of the cams 93 secured to the outside of said containers. adapted to engage an adjustable finger member 94 mounted on the shaft 95 which isrevolubly mounted in the bracket 96 at its upper. end, in the late 1 at its middle portion and in the brac et 97 at its lower end, which bracket 97 is secured to the plate 2. Mounted on said shaft on the upper face of the plate 1 is the ratchet wheel 98 which is secured to said shaft. A collar 99 is secured on said shaft below the plate-1 ositioning said shaft vertically. Mounte near the lower end of the shaft 95 is the beveled gear 100 which engages a smaller beveled gear 101 mounted on .the spindle 102 which is revolubl mounted in the journal 97. Mounte on the other end of the spindle 102 per end of which are mounted two sets of fingers 104 and 105 both of which are pivotally mounted in the lever 103. fingers 105 are guided laterally in the slots 88 of the sandwich receiving container and are governed in their vertical movements by the bifurcated lever member 106 which is pivotally mounted near the lower 'ortion of the finger operating lever 103, as s own best in Figs. 8 and 9 of the drawings. Another lever member 107 provided with a roller 107 at its free end is pivotally mounted in the bracket 108 secured to the under side of the plate 1. A spring 107 is interposed between the under side of the plate 1 and thelever 107 adapted to force the fingers 105 in engagement with the bifurcated guide lever 106 by keeping the rollers 107 on the lever 107 in engagement with the fingers 105. The lever 107 is also ided in its circular motion by the bifurcatefi portion of the lever 106.
It will be seen from the description and in Fig. 8 of the drawings that the fingers after having received the slice will be rapidly wardly more rapidly by the force of gravity and that the other end leavin the finger 104 last will be forced rapidly ownwardly by the fingers 105 passing between the members 104, thus rmitting them to drop down in the sandwich receiving container in a substantially flat position. In order to keep the fingers104 and 105m a position ready to receive the slices as they are cut by the knife 64 there is provided 'a spiral spring 109, the one end of which is secured to the finger operating'lever 103 and the other end of which is secured in thespring casing 110, which is secured to the plate 2 at any convenient place in line with the rotation of the lever 103. A pawl 111 is pivotally mounted on the. top face of the plate 1' and secured thereto by the screw 111' ada ted to engage the ratchet 98 and prevent t e. spring 109 returning the fingers 104 and 105 immediately to their initial receiving positions and give the va rious slices suflicient' fingers and to drop down in the sandwich receiving containers in the proper manner. A spring 112 mounted on the screw 111, one

Mounted on the under side of the plate 115 is the outwardly .extending lever 116 which readily permits the operator to lower the bottom of the container and remove the sandwiches there from. A spring 117 is secured to the container 88 and to the pivoted bottom plate 115 adapted to keep said plate in engagement with the said container. Said container is further provided with a door 118 mounted. on the front; aid door is provided with which is pivotall portion thereof. an arm portion secured thereto, the free end of which is pivotally mounted to a link 119, the other end of which is pivotally mourited at the edge of the plate 115 in such a manner that the plate 115 and the door 118 operate and open simultaneously by the downward movement of the lever 116 as shown best by dotted lines in Fig. 6 of the drawings.

To automatically vend and make the sandwiches-we have provided a coin operated switch mechanism and an automatic releasing device as is described herewithl The bracket 124 is secured to the under side of the late 1 and extends forwardly in front 0? the enclosures 14 and 15 which separate at this place. The coin receiving member 125 is secured to the forward end of said bracket which is provided with a slot 125 adapted to receive therein a coin 126 of a predetermined size. Said member 125 is adapted to receive the reciprocable plunger 127 which is retained therein by the screw 128 shiftable in the slot 125 of the coin receiving member 125. A. spring 129 is interposed between the shoulders of the members 125 and 127 adapted to force said plunger 127 outwardly. The bracket 124 is provided on its downwardly extending leg with an inwardly extending cylindrical portion'124 having a cylindrical recess slightly larger than the diameter of the coin 126.
A plunger member 130 is reciprocably mounted in the cylindrical portion of said bracket and is provided with a rod 130 secured thereto extending through said cylindrical portion toward the switch member 22. The outer portion of the plunger 130 is ada ted to receive the reduced portion 127? o the plunger 127 when the same is forced inwardly, providing no coin has been dropped in the slot 125 of the member 125. Thus the plunger 130 will remain in the position shown in Fig. 13 of the drawings and, therefore, no contact of the switch members is made. If, however, a coin is dropped into the slot 125 and the plunger 127 is forced inwardly, the coin 126 will; bear against the shoulders 130 of the plunger member 130' forcing said lunger member inwardly and making an e ectrical contact by said switch member. The rod 130 of the plunger 130 is connected to the rod 131 and insulated therefrom by the insulatin coupling 132. Said rod 131 is reciproca ly mounted in the insulating bracket 133 which is secured to the under side of the plate 1 by, screws 133% A spring 134 is interposed between the coupling 132 and the bracket 133 tending to force the rod 130 and therefore the plunger 130 outwardly and tending to keep the switch members apart and breaking the electrical ontact. .The switch 22 consists of two switch members 22 spaced from each other and mountedon the insulating bracket 133 and connected to the conductors 21.
./The rod 121 is provided at its free end with a flattened portion 131 to which is secured the circuit breaking member 22" which is adapted to engage each of the members 22 com leting the electrical circuit. The rod 130 is provided with a notch 130 at the under side thereof adapted to engage a raised ortion 135 in the slotted plunger 135 whic is reciprocably mounted in the plunger casing 136 secured to the under side of the plate 1 and preferably in the positions shown inFigs. 1, 3 and 13, of the drawings. The raised portion 135 of said plunger is ke t in constant en agement with the rdd 135 y a spring 137 interposed between the lower end of said plunger and said plunger casing so that when the plunger 130 is forced inwardly, the raised portion 135 of the plunger 135 will engage the notch 130 and thus keep the electrical circuit closed. Said plun er 135 extends through and above the p ate 1 adapted to be engaged by the cam 138 secured near the lower edge of the inside face of the food container 45 as shown best in Figs. 13 and 15 of the drawings. Said cam engages and forces said plunger downwardly only after a complete revolution of the various con tainers and after a sandwich has been made. The. relative positions of the cam and the plunger before tripping or releasing are shown by dotted lines in Fig. 15 of the drawings. The cylindrical portion 124 of the bracket 124 is provided at its under side with a slot 124 to permit the coin '126 to drop therethrough after the plunger 130 has been forced inwardly and an electrical contact made. A coin box 139 is mounted in a frame 140 secured tothe base plate 2 and is connected to the slot 124' by the chute 140 secured at the upper end to the bracket 124 and permits the coin to drop through said slot 124 through the chute 140 into the coin box 139, as shown best in Fig. 13 of the drawings. a
To spread utter or other plastic food stuff on the bread we have provided automatic ressure means, as shown best in Figs. 11 an 12 of the drawings. Since it is desired that a spread be applied only to the last slice of bread in making u the sandwich, the containers 45 'contrl uting the last slice of bread to said sandwich is provided with a cam 141 secured thereto nean its lower outer edge. Said cam is circular in shape at its engaging edge and is slightly longer at said edge than the width of a slice of bread. Said cam 141 is adapted to engage a rubber tired ".roller 142, which is mounted on a vertical spindle 143 which is revolubly and shiftably mounted .in the journal 144 secured to the under side of the platel. Said spindle 143 is provided at its lower end with a shrouded gear 145 and is held in its downward position by a spring 146 interposed between the journal 144 and the gear 145. The spread container consists of a container member 147 provided at its upper end with a dovetailed flange portion 147 adapted to be shifted radial y relatively to the plate 1 in a similarly shaped channel 1 provided therein. The upper face of said container is flush with the bottom of the circular channel 1 of the plate 1 and is provided in said upper portion with a longitudinal slot 147 through which the spread is forced and applied to the bread. Said container is provided at its lower end with a cover 148 secured thereto preferably as shown. Said cover 148 is provided with a downwardly extending boss 148 in which is revolubly mounted the hub of the gear 149 adapted to engage the gear 145., Said gear is retained in said boss 148 by the pin 150 on which the hub of the gear 149 rides. The gear 149 is internally threaded adapted to receive the screw 151 at the upper or inner end of which is mounted the plungerplate 152 adapted to compress the spread insaid container and force the same through the slot 147 provided therein at its up er end.
It will be here noted that as the cam 141 engages the roller 142 the same is rotated which in turn rotates'the gear 149 engaging the gear 145; that the gear being revolubly mounted and internally. threaded will force the screw 151 mounted therein upwardly. It will be further noted that if the spread container 147 is to be refilled the enclosure 14 is pulled up and the gear 145 is raised up disengaging the same rom the gear 149 and permitting the container and gear to be readily withdrawn by means of the channel 1 in the plate 1 and refilled.
Though we have shown, and described a particular construction, combination and arrangement of not wish to be imited to this particular construction, combination and arrangement but desire to include in the scope of our invention the construction, combination and arrangement substantially as set forth in the a pended claims.
It is obvious that when the handle 77 is inserted in a certain cross notch in the index plate the finger 69 will be positioned in the path of any of the containers 41, 42, 43 or 44 containing the fillers for the various sandwiches; that when a coin of a certain size is inserted in the slot of the member 125 and the plunger 127 forced inwardly an electrical contact is made starting the motor 20; that the plunger 135 will engage the notch 130in the plunger rod 130 kee ing the switch closed; that the knife 64 wi 1 be set inmotion as previously described: that the carrier plate 39 will be revolved bringing the various food containers consecutively over said knife; that the adjustable cam between the containers 44 and 45 has previarts and portions we do.

In a machine of the class described, a frame, a motor mounted on said frame, a coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor, a shaft revolubly mounted in said frame, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft, cutting means mounted on said frame, positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and connected to said gear means, food selecting means including fingers positioned in the path of said containers and manually operated lever means for variously positioning fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicating with said selecting means and positioned-adjacent said cutting means, and slice receiving and assembling means communicating with said cutting means.

In a machine of the class described, a frame, a motor mounted on said frame, a coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor, a shaft revolubly mounted in said frame, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft, cutting means mounted on said frame, positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and connected to said gear means, food selecting means including fingers positioned in the path of said containers and manually operated lever means for variously positioning said fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicatmg with said se ecting meansand positioned ad acent said cutting means, a food receiving container secured to said frame contiguous to said cutting means and a paper means for wrapping said sliced food.

13. n a machine of the class described, a readily accessible enclosure, provided with transparent panels, a motor mounted in said enclosure, a shaft revolubly mounted in said enclosure, a gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft, cutting means mounted on said enclosure, positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and connected to said gear means, slice regulating means positioned adjacent said cutting means, and a food receiving container secured to saidenclosure contiguous to said cutting means.

In a machine of the class described, a supporting plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft within said paneled enclosure, cutting means mounted on said fplate positioned contiguous to the path 0 said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means connected with said motor and said containers, adjustable slice regulating means positioned adjacent said cutting means and a food receiving container secured to the other side of said plate from said containers contiguous to said cutting means.
15. In a machine of the class described, a supported plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure food receiving container secured to the other side of said plate from said containers con-j tiguous to said cutting means, and a coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor.
16. In a machine of the class described, a supporting plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft Within said paneled enclosure, cutting means mounted on said plate positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means-connected with said motor and said containers, selecting means including fingers positioned in the path of said containers and manually operated lever means for variously positioning said fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicating with said selecting means and positioned adjacent said cutting means, a food receiving container secured to the other sideof said plate from said containers contiguous to said cutting means, and a coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor.
17 In a machine of the class described, a supported plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft within said paneled enclosure, cutting means mounted on said plate positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means connected with said motor and said containers, selecting means including fingers positioned in the path of said containers and manual lever means for variously positioning said fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicating with a food selecting means and positioned adjacent said cutting means, pressure actuated means for spreading an edible on said slices, a food receiving contaiiier secured to the other side of said plate from said container contiguous to said outting means,' and a coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor.
18. In a machine of theclass described, a
in the path of said containers and manual lever means for variously positioning said fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicating with a food selecting means and positioned adjacent said cutting means, pressure actuated means for spreading an edible on said slices, slice receiving andassembling means positioned contiguous said cutting means and communicating with said containers.

In a machine of the class described, a supported plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft within said paneled enclosure, cutting means mounted on said plate positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means connected with said motor and said containers, selecting means including fingers positioned in the path of said containers and manually operated lever means for variously positioning said fingers, adjustable slice regulating means communicating with said selecting means and positioned adjacent said cutting means, a food receiving container secured to the other side of said plate from said coutainers contiguous to said cutting means, a
coin regulated switch means communicating with said motor, and a paper distributing means for wrapping said sliced food.

In a machine of the class described, a supported plate provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft within said paneled enclosure, pressure means supported by said containers for forcing the food therein to ride in the channel provided in said plate, cutting means mounted on said plate positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means connected with said motor and said containers, adjustable slice regu ating means positioned adjacent said cutting means and a food receiving container secured to the other side of said plate from said containers contiguous to said cutting means. In a machine of the class described, a supported plate. provided with a channel therein, a transparently paneled enclosure mounted above said plate, a motor mounted on said plate, a shaft revolubly mounted in said plate, gear means connecting said motor to said shaft, containers mounted on said shaft within said paneled enclosure, cutting means mounted on said plate positioned contiguous to the path of said containers and the channel in said plate and connected to said shaft, other shaft and gear means connected with,said motor and said containers, adjustable slice re lating means positioned adjacent said cutting means, a slice receiving and assembling means communicating with said cutting means and a wrapping means operated by said slice receiving means iorddistributing wrapping for said sliced 22. In a machine of the class described, an enclosure frame, a plurality of movable food containers in said frame and a movable cutting means positioned contiguous to the lower sides of said food containers movable simultaneously with the movement of said food containers.
23. In a machine of the class described, an enclosure frame, a plurality of movable food containers in said frame, a cutting means positioned contiguous to the lower sides of said food containers, and means for simult neously operating said food containers an said cutting means.

In a machine of the class described, an enclosure frame, a plurality of movable food containers in said frame, a cutting means positioned contiguous to the lower sides of said food containers, a means for simultaneously operating said food containers and said cutting means and a means for receiving and assembling the food elements from sa1d cutting means.

In a machine of the class described, an enclosure frame, a plurality of movable food containers in sa1d frame, a cutting means positioned contiguous to the lower sides of said food containers, means for simultaneously operating said food containers and said cutting means, and means positioned contiguous to said cutting means for receiving and assembling the food elements from sa1d cutting means.

In a machine of the classdescribed, an enclosure frame, a plurality of movable food containers in said frame, a cutting means positioned contiguous to the lower sides of said food containers, means for simultaneously operating said food containers and said cutting means, means positioned contiguous to said cutting means for receiving and assembling the food elements from said cutting means, and manually operated means adapted to engage said containers for selecting the separate foods in said containers for engagement with said cutting means.

In a machine of the class described, a casing, a plurality of movable food containers in said casing, a slicing means in the path of said food containers adapted to engage the food in some of said containers with the moving of said food containers, and means manually operated for selecting the food adapted to engage said containers and for positioning said food.

In a machine of the class described, a casing, a plurality of movable food containers in said caslng, a slicing means in the path of said food containers adapted to engage the food in some of said containers, means manually operated for se lecting the food adapted to enga e said containers and for positioning sai food, and finger means positioned contiguous to said slicing means adapted to receive and assemble elements of the food.

In a machine of the class described, a casing, a plurality of movable food containers in said casing, a slicing means in the path of said food containers adapted to engage the food in some of said containers,- means manually operated for selecting the food adapted to engage said containers and for positioning said food, finger means positioned contiguous to said slicing means adapted to receive and assemble elements of the food, and means for discharging said food from said casing.

In a machine of the class described, a casing, a plurality of movable food containers in said casing, a slicing means in the path of said food containers adapted to engage the food in some of said containers, means manually operated for. conducting the food adapted to engage said containers and for positioning said food, finger means positioned contiguous to said slicing means adapted to receive and position elements of the food, means for discharging said food from said casing, and coin operated means for regulatin and controlling the movement of said ood containers and slicing device and food positioning fingers.

In a machine of the class described, a casing, a plurality of food containers revolubly mounted in said casin a slicing means positioned in the path 0 said containers and adapted to slice a portion from the food in said containers, and finger means contiguous to said slicing means for receiving and positioning different slices of fgod from said containers.
32. In a machine of the class described,
a casing, a plurality of food containers revolnbly mounted in said casing, a slicing means/positioned in the path of said containers and adapted to slice a portion from the food in said containers, finger 10 means contiguous to said slicing means for receiving and positioning difierent slices of food from said containers, and manually operated ratchet, pawl and cam means for positioning the food in the separate containers to be engaged by said slicing means.
