Be it known that we, GEORGE D. WILKIN- s'oN and AUGUSTUS F. HARTER, citizens of the r United States, residin at Oak Park, in the county of Cook and tate of Illinois, have invented new and useful Im rovements in Oven Doors, of which the ollowing. is a specification.
This invention relates particullarly to oven doors; and the primary object is to provide .an improved construction involving the use of an outer sheet metal panel constituting the main body of the door, an inner sheet A metal lining, and a pair of trunnions havv-port the door and any superimposed weight ing reenforcing shanks'housed between the main panel and the lining. Such a construction provides'for the supporting of the door and any load which may be imposed upon it Awhen they door is inopen condition by the trunnions and the shank-extension thereof, which suitably may be made of cast iron and of suiiicient strength to readily supor trunnions and its bearing; Fig; .5, a

In this embodiment of the invention, the frame A is equipped with bearings, or journal boxes B for the trunnions of the doors. The members B are provided with stops 1 which are adapted to limit the down ward swing of the door. The flanges 'of the main panel 2 ofthe door are notched at the lower corners of the door, as indicatedy at 7 to accommodate the sli'anks ofthe trunnions 4. Also, the flanges of the lining panel 3 are notched at the lower vcorners of the door, as indicated at 7. What we regard as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
