IMPROVEMENT lN MASH-MACHINES FOR BREWERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 148,508, dated March 10, 1374; application filed October 27, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN Solmrrmos, of New York, in the State of New York, have invented a new and useful Impro vementin Mash- Machines, of which the following is a specification:
The nature of my invention consists in the arrangement oi' a suitable chamber containing' a movable sieve on the outside of the mashmachine, through which all Water required in the mashing process is made to pass to be deplied by water contained in a surrounding casin g. Any sieve placed into this surrounding l casing would be very ditlicult to clean, and I arrange, therefore, a chamber, B, on the outside ofthe mash-machine, in which a sieve, I), is placed. On the bottom of the chamber B an opening, C, is made, for the purpose of cleaning said chamber of any sediment which may collect therein. The sieve 1) is iitted into the chamber B, working in suitable guides, so as to be easily removed when the same and the chamber require to be cleaned.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
