Remova ly mounted in opening 10 is a glass plate 11, secured on one side by clips 12 and on the other side'by catch 13 whereby plate 11 may be removed when desired. The negative 14, which is shown in roll form merely by way of,. example, is carried on spindles 15 and 16 removably mounted in suitable brackets 17 and 18, located respectively above and below opening 10. Negative 14 extends over openin 10 and behind glass 11, suitable spaces being left between the ends of the glass and the top and bottom of opening 10 for this purpose. When it is desired to use glass negatives instead of roll negatives, glass .11 may be removed and the desired'I negative readily substituted, if of proper size. If cut-film ne atives, or glass negatives smaller than opening 10, are used,-

It. will thus be seen that upon pulling one of the lcords 30, the corres riding strip 29 will be severed and the s eet 23 which it supports released, whereupon the sheet will fall through the lower end of box member 20 into the rint-ing compartment, as shown in Fig. 1. ln order to prevent the possible entrance of light through opening 32, a felt orpother pad 33, held in place by spring 34, is provided, which howeveriin no way interferes with the functioning-of cords 30. Cords further s erve| to revent all but the sheet about to be release i. e., the sheet towards the front of the machine, from swinging outward and thus interfering with the proper releasing of that sheet. A strip 35 secured to the sides'of member 20-prevents the sheet being released from swinging out and catchin on thevlower edge of cover 21. A crank 46 on the end of shaft 37 and a similar crank 47 -on` the end of a tubular extension 48 on yoke 43 provide means outside the printing and developing compartment for swinging pressure plate 39 to' llO an)1 desired position. A catch 49 holds crank- 47 durin the rinting operation.

It will thus be seen that when plate 39 is swung into position against negative 14, springs 50 will permit ledge 51 to swing back so as not to interfere with the proper functioning of the preure late.
The apparatus for deve oping the eX- posed sheets is located just beneath the printingI mechanism. A pair of brackets 57 secured to the inner face of front member 1 serves to support another and smaller roller 58 at the other end'4 and near the bottom of tray 52. Passing around rollers 53 and 58 is a series of resilient endless bands 59. Loosely mounted onshaft 54 of roller 53, isa yoke 60 provided with an extension 61 and a series of prongs 62 overlying endless bands A59. A crank 63-is provided on the end of a tubular extension 64 on yoke 60 whereby the yoke and its prongs 62 may be lrotated about shaft 54. i

This is accomplished by means of a lever 71 loosely mounted on a shaft 72 journallcd in the sides of compartment 6,

A projection v74 on door is adapted to 'be engaged by the extension 73 of lever 71 to raise door l70 when door 68 is closed, as shown in Fig. 1, and to be disengaged 'from projection 74 to allow door 70 to close when door68 is open, as shown in Fig. 2.

In a machine vof the character described, the combination of a collapsible casing having an'opening in the upper portion thereof for the passage of sensitized sheets; printing mechanism located in the front part of said casing; a removable cartridge of sensitized sheets attached to said casing in apa'rtially open position over the opening in the casing; means for feeding the sensitized sheets' one at-a time through said opening in the casing to the printinglmechamsm; developing means located in t e lower part of saidfcasing; a second casing to which said first mentioned casing is pivotally connected at" its rear edge; 'and fixing means located in said second-mentioned casing, said first-mentioned casing being adapted to fold against the-up er faceof said secondmentioned `casing w en in collapsed form.

5. In a machine of the character described, the combination of acasing having an opening in the up r ortion thereof for the passage of sensitize A sheets;
mechanism located in said casing; evelopprinting p ing mechanism located in said casing; 'a
removable cartridge of sensitizedsheets attached to said casing in a partially open position over said opening 1n the casing; and means forconducting said sheeets one at a time to said rinting mechanism and thence to said develbping mechanism.
