This invention relates to apparatus for applying coating to surfaces. The-coating, if 'a liquid, may bea paint, japan, varnishor any other suitable coating medium,.or it may, if desired, be a solid ,in powdered form, and the material or surface -to which it is to be applied may Vbe'of any-character, such, for example, as
