'Y 5 State ot California, have inventedy new and use'tul improvements in Pipe Molds, 0f which the following is' a speciiication.
My invention relates to pipe molds, and a purpose of my invention is the provision of a -pipe mold of that'character in which either the casing orcore or both are slowly rotated during the tamping operation, my
invention consistingv in forming the core with a liner which is' removable tofallow of the substitution of anew liner when the circular contour thereby effecting the forminfr oit Va pipe of uniform thickness. l will' describe one form of pipe mold and two forms, of cores all embodying my invention and will then point out the` novel features thereof in claims.

Referring specifically-to the drawings, my inverltifnt in its present embodiment, comprises a turntable T adaptedto be supported for rotational movement by any suitableV means such as that shown in'my Patent No. 1,330,760, issued February 10, 1920. A pin 15 is threadedly fitted within the table T and arranged axially thereoic to form centeringr means for a bell ring B, the latter being of the contour shown in Fig. 1.

As' clearly shown in Figs. 1 and. all outer boltsv are provided ,with countersunk heads soas to provide a smooth surtacefor the core. As the outer cylinderis held in contiguous 'relation with the finner cylinder, it will be clear that the outer cylinder also occupies true cylindrical form so that the core as a unit vwhen in position .within theV casing K will co-operatewith the latter in of uniform internal diameter. As shown in Figs. `1 and 2, the innercylinder 18 is provided witha brace bar 23 to which threadedrods 24`are connected7 andY these rods are adapted to be associated with "in the bars. alias clearly shown in Fig.' 1.,v I

For preventing displacement of the core from the bell ring'B, a positioning pin 25 is threadedly iitted Within the Y tion the concrete contained between the core C and the casing K is taniped in the usual manner in effecting a formation et" the pipe.
Continued use ot the mold obviously causes the Wearing away of the core C thus necessitating the renewal oi' the core at frequent intervals.y The labor and expenseattendant these substitutions is eliminated by the employment of the core C constructed in the manner previously described, as it Will be manifest that all Wear takes `place on the surface oi' the liner 19, and when this liner becomes unduly Wornitecan be readily removed from the inner` cylinder 18 and a new oner substituted.
` ln Fig. 6 l have shown a modified means for removably associating vthe core C With the bell ring B. ln this embodiment, the end'o'f the cylinder 18 is provided adjacent its lower end with a bar 28 having upturned ends'ivhich are secured to the cylinder by bolts 29. This bar 2S carries depending pins 30 which are adapted to engage Within the'recesses formed in the upper vsid-e of the bell ringv l?, the arrangement 'of the pins being such that when the bell ring is rotated correspondingmovement is imparted to the core.

1. .fi pipe mold comprising a turntable, a casing sustained on the turntable, a bell ring remerably associated `with the table, clamping bars adjustable on the turntable and eooperating with the bell ring for clamping the casing' on the turntable, and a core sustained on the bell ring' Aand'comprising an inner cylinder yand an outer cylinder removably associated with the inner cylinder.

A. pipe mold comprising a turntable, a bell ring sustained on the turntable, a centering pin carried by the turntable and engaging the bell ring for centering the latter on theturntable, acasing surroundingthe bell ring, clamping bars adjustable on the turntable and eo-operatingwvith the bell ring oriixedly securing the casing to the turntable, a core .sustained on the bell ring, a block carried by the core, and a pin on the bell ring and engaging said block for centering the core on the bell ring.
ln a pipemold, a core comprising an inner 'split cylinder, rings Within the cylinder Vfor maintaining the latter in true cylindrical formation, an exterior liner received on the cylinder and means extending through the cylinder, liner, and rings for securing' thev same together.
