Referring to the drawings by characters of reference, the cup comprises a body '10 which is provided with a closed bottom 11 and an open upper end 12 which is defined by an inwardlyand downwardly directed or curved flange 13., The sidewall is bent or 1322. Serial No. 564,494.

In use and operation, the constituent elements constituting the shampoo fluid 18 is placed in the cup. By using one of the hands asa cover and grasping the lower'portion of the same in the other hand, the cup is employed as a mixer for shaking and thoroughly mixing the constituent elements of the shampoo agent. When the shampooing agent is properly mixed the lower portion of the cup is used as a handle for manipulating the same and the upper open end 12 is brought into contact with the scalp and moved over the same to effect the discharge, application and distribution of the contents over the head. The inwardly and downwardly directed or curved flange 13 provides a depression or concave extremity which closely conforms to the various contours of'the scalp to prevent overfeeding of the contents and resultant waste or loss' thereof. lVhen not in use the cup may be thoroughly cleansed and sterilized until again needed. The cup may be constructed from glass, porcelain, metal or any other suitable material and is so formed as to eliminate sharp edges or corners which might tend to cut or injure the hair. In initially bringing the cup intoapplied position with the scalp, the same is preferably turned 1 sideways with the open upper end 12 against the side of the head to prevent the spilling and waste. p
I claim:
1. A shampoo cup comprising a body having an open end and aclosed end, an annular inwardly projecting portion between said ends'for separating said body into individual compartments connected by a restricted passage, and an inwardly curved flange at the upper open end providing a depressed extremity adapted to closely fit the contour of the head to insure an even discharge and application of the contents upon the head.
