U NITEE STATES PATENT OFFICE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, THOMAS EATON, oi' the city of Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, assignor to myself exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing, which shows the bucket with the bottom open.
A is the body of the bucket, ot' any convenient size, as may be desired. B is the bottom, properly hinged to the body of the bucket. C is a lever arrangement for tripping the bucket and letting the bottom B swing down upon its hinges. This lever arrangement consists of a catch, 7c, with beveled face, fastened to the bottom of Athe bucket; a pivoted lever and hook, h, which also has a beveled face, corresponding with that of the catch k, so that the hook will readily engage the catch when moved by the spring s also, a pivoted lever, l, which operates upon the end of the lever h,
