To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that l, GEORGE B. STRYKER, J r., a citizen of the United States, residing at Memphis, in the county of Shelby and State of Tennessee, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Aseptic Tanks; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The present invention relates to aseptic tanks for sanitary systems and consists in the combinations and arrangements of elements hereinafter described and particularly set forth in the appended claim.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a tank of the characterin question which is built of a plurality of plastic units or sections assembled and secured in superposed relation to the end that such tanks, of any desired size7 may be installed from one grade of stock and thereby not require several different grades or kinds for the various types of buildings or dwellings in which this principle of sanitation is to be used.
The aseptic tank disclosed herein is designed primarily for use in dwellings in the country or other out-lying districts, and is especially adapted for use in connection with any portable sanitary system.

Figure 1 is a side elevational view of the tank as assembled for installation.

Referring to the construction in further detail and wherein like reference charactersv inforced by wire netting orthe like. A pairl of screens 6 and 7 within the vessel 5 hold between them a mass of gravel 8 or other granular substance which receives the material from the aseptic tank through the discharge pipe 9 and is itself discharged through t-he pipe 10, as shown.
Each unit or section 4 of the aseptic tank is preferably rectangular in cross section, as
shown in Figure 2, and the upper and lower edges of the section walls are formed with grooves 11 and ridges 12 respectively. It will thus be seen that when the sections are superposed that the same will probably aline and with a suitable sealing material (e. g., ordinary mortar) between the meeting edges of the sections the several parts will be held in a secure'and rigid manner. A bottom or base piece 13 forms the foundation of the tank and a similar member 14, having a handle 15, provides the upper closure and top therefor. The tank, when installed, is provided with a partition 16 extending to near the bottom thereof and for the full width of the tank and has for its purpose to provide the receiving and discharging chambers therefor-as will be understood.
Each section 4C is constructed preferably of concrete or other plastic material in suitable molds and in each corner has imbedded therein a pair of reinforcing material bars 16 and 17 as shown. The two bars 16 and 17 are of appreciably different length to the end that the same will be disposed in breakjoint relation and thus give rigidity to the middle portions of the sides ofl each section as will be clearly apparent from an inspection of Figure 2. y
It will be obvious, of course, that different forms of construction may be provided in lieu of that disclosed and describedherein. And while I have shown and described certain apparatus for accomplishing the result initially stated it is to be understood that I am not limited to the precise details shown but may on the other hand adopt such modifications or changes within the scope of the claim to better suit the end in view.
