being understood that these ollers 12 are loosely: mounted on the shaft l1, retaining the upper portionof the carrier in contact with the roller 7, as clearlyshown in ,Fig. 3 of'the drawings. The outer end of the devicewhich is disposed upwardly, with respect 'to'the horizontal-section thereof is supported by-the=arms 1.3.
Thus, it will-be seen that I haveprovided a frame section within which is disposed in the drawings as3, which'consists of a flexible strip and a plurality of transverse an endless carrier, a section of which forms the flooring of a barn or stable, and the other section of which extends upwardly therefrom to a point where the contents of the carrier may be dumped to a wagon or truck at a point beyond the stable or barn.
The loosely mounted rollers 12 it will be seen are positioned at a point where the carrier is inclined upwardly, so as to retain the upper portion of the carrier at all times in contact, with the roller 7, and said rollers 12 also constitute frictional rollers which assist in the movement of said carrier when it is operated.
The shafts upon which the rollers 7 and 9 are carried extend beyond the side frame of the loader and carry pulleys 1 1 and 15 respectively, over which is disposed an endless driving belt 16. Carried on the shaft 11 is a sprocket 17 over which is disposed a chain 18. An additional sprocket 19 is carried on the shaft of the pulley 14, over which this chain is also disposed. A crank handle 20 is provided on the shaft 11 whereby said shaft may be manually rotated and from the connections therewith, as hereabove described and shown in the drawings, the rollers over which the carrier is disposed will be rotated to cause said carrier to be operated. Thus, the manure emptied upon the horizontal section of said carrier within the barn or stable may be conveyed outwardly and upwardly to be unloaded onto any desired container, such as a wagon or truck, (not shown) just beyond the outer end of the device. The rollers 12 while retaining the conveyers in place will also tend to operate the same in view of the frictional contact with the slats of the carrier.
In order to compensate for slack in the carrier to or for any other purpose desired, the roller 9 is carried between a pair of strips 21 at the outer ends of the frame of the loader, which strips are adjustably supported in place so as to be moved longitudinally of the device, as clearly shown in Fig. 2 of the drawings.
In order to remove all manure from the slats of the conveyor as it is operated, I
provide a scraper 22 which is pivotally' supported between the side pieces of the frame just below the roller 9. This scraper may be disposed in contact with the surface of the slats and held in place by means of a pawl and ratchet connection 23.
From the foregoing description of the construction of my improved device, the operation thereof will be readily understood, and it will be seen that I have provided a simple, inexpensive and eflicient means for carrying out the objects of the invention.
While I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes in the form, proportion and in the minor details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the principles of the invention.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is 2- 1. A manure loader comprising a frame, a portion of which is angularly disposed, rollers at the ends thereof, the roller at one end of said frame being adjustably supported in place, an additional roller intermediate of the aforesaid rollers, an end less carried disposed over said rollers, a plurality of smaller rollers in said frame supporting the upper strip of the carrier, means for retaining the upper strip of the carrier in contact with said additional roller, means for manually rotating said carrier, and an adjustable scraping member adapted for contact with the lower strip of the carrier below the adjustable roller.
2. A manure loader comprising a frame, a portion of which is angularly disposed, a pair of rollers mounted in the ends thereof, one of said rollers being adjustably supported in place, an intermediate roller carried in said frame, an endless carrier disposed over said rollers, a plurality of smaller rollers carried in the frame to support the upper strip of the carrier therein, a pair of frictional rollers supported in the frame and retaining the upper strip of the carrier in contact with the intermediate roller, means in connection with said intermediate roller for manually actuating thecarrier, and an adjustable scraping member carried in the frame for contact with-the lower strip of the carrier below the adjustable roller.

A manure loader comprising a frame, a portion of which is angularly disposed, a pair of rollers mounted in the ends thereof, one of said rollers being adjiustably supported in place, an intermediate roller carried in said frame, an endless carrier disposed over said rollers, a plurality of smaller rollers carried in the frame to support the upper strip of the carrier therein, a shaft transversely supported in said frame directly oversaid intermediate roller, rollers loosely carried by said shaft and adapted to retain the upper strip'of the carrier in contact with the intermediate roller, means for actuating said carrier, and a scraper element mounted in said frame for contact with the lower strip of the carrier below the adjustable roller.

A manure loader comprisinga frame, a portion of which is angularly disposed, a pair of rollers mounted in the ends thereof, one of said rollers being adjustably supported in place, an intermediate roller carried in said frame, the shaft carrying said intermediate roller and said adjustable roller extending beyond said frame, pulley wheels mounted on said extension, a belt traveling thereover, an endless carrier d1sposed over said rollers, a plurality of lower loosely carried by said shaft and adapted to I 10 retain the upper'strip of the carrier in contact with the intermediate roller, means 1n connection with said intermediate roller for actuating the carrier, and an adjustable scraping member carried in the frame for contact with the lower strip of the car rier below the adjustable roller.
