My invention relates to supports for con# ductors and has particular reference to that class oi supports by means of which a trolley conductor is suspended 'from an overhead support such as an insulated hanger, etc.

In the preferred construction embodying my invention shown in the various figures, employ a hanger H provided with a threaded Stud S. It will be seen by an inspectionoi Fig. 5 that my device will still operate and in a similar manner just described.r should the jaw 2 be secured to the hanger H, but in such a manner that the upper surface of the head 3 should rest a considerable distance below the lower surface of the hanger H. In that case the collar 8 would be moved upward as the operating member 12 was rotated until the collar 8 engaged with the annular lip 1 1 at the point K and further rotation ot' the member 12 would cause the jaw 6 to pivot about its engagement with the annular forcing the jaws into secure engagement with the conductor 5. v o
There are, of course, many' modifications which might be made from that herein disclosed and which would be obvious to one skilled in the art, and which modifications would fall within the scope of my invention, therefore, I do not wish to be limited otherwise than by my claims.
I claim:
1. rlhe combination' with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a jaw member detachably secured to the support and having means to engage the conductor, a second jaw member having means to engage the conductor opposite to that of the first aw, means on the second jaw movable relative thereto, means on the first jaw to'be engaged by the means on the second jaw whereby the second jaw will be raised into a fulcrum engagement with the support and the conductor engaging means moved into clamping engagement with the conductor when the relative movable means on the second jaw is moved relative thereto.
2. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a jaw member secured to the support and having means to engage the conductor, a second jaw having a ulcrum engagement with the support and having means to engage the conductor andmeans rotatably. mounted on the second jaw to coact with the first jaw to move the second jaw about its fulcrum point of engagement with the support and into clamping engagement with 'the conductor.
3. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising` a jaw member secured to the support and having means to engage the conductor. a second jaw having a Jfulcrum engagement with the support and having means to engage the conductor and means mounted on the second jaw and movable longitudinally thereto to coact with the rst jaw to move the second jaw about lip 1l at the point K, thereby` its fulcrum point of engagement with the support and into clamping engagement with the conductor.

The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a pair of jaws having means to engage and grip the conductor, means on one jaw to coact with means on the support to secure the clamp to the support, means on the other jaw to engage the support and ulcrum about the point orC contact and means on one of the jaws to move the said jaw about its 'fulcrum engagement with the support and into clamping engagement withthe conductor.
7. rlhe combination with a support oiu a conductor clamp comprising `a pair of jaws having meansto engage and grip the conductor, means on one jaw to coact with means on the support to secure lthe clamp to the support, means on the other jaw to engage the support and fulcrum about the point of contact and means on one oi' the jaws to move the said jaw first into ulcrum engagement with the support and then about said 'fulcrum point and into gripping engagement with the conductor.
8. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a pair oi' clamping jaws, one jaw having means provided with threads engaging threads on the support to secure the clamp to the support, the other' jaw having means encircling the first means and engaging the support in pivotal relation thereto and means to move the second jaw about its pivotal point and into gripping engagement with the conductor.
9. The combination with a. support of a conductor clamp comprising a pair o' clamping jaws, one aw having means to secure the clamp to the support in substantially rigid relation thereto, the other jaw having means to engage and fulcrum on the support and means for moving the second jaw about its point of engagement with the. support to move the jaws into clamping engagement with the conductor.
10. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a jaw secured to the support and having means to engage the conductor, a jaw coacting with the first jaw to engage and grip the conductor and movable longitudinally of the first jaw and means to move the second jaw longitudinally and into engagement with the support and gripping engagement with the conductor.
11. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a jaw secured to the support and having means to engage the conductor, a second jaw movable longitudinally of the first jaw and having means to engage the support and coact with the first jaw to grip the conductor and means on the second jaw to engage means located on the iirst jaw to move the second jaw 1ongitudinally and into engagement with the support and into gripping engagement with the conductor.
12. A conductor clamp comprising a jaw having a head and means to engage a conductor, means on the head to secure the clamp to a support,'a second jaw having a collar encircling the head and having means to engage the conductor, and means rotatably mounted on the collar for moving the second jaw into clamping engagement with the conductor.
13. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a pair of jaw 'l members each having means coaoting to grip the conductor, one jaw having means to engage means on the support to secure the clamp to the support, the other jaw having means provided with an arcuate surface to engage the support and movable about said arcuate surface of contact and means to move the second jaw about said arcuate surface and into clamping engagement with the conductor.

A conductor clamp comprising a pair of longitudinally and pivotally movable clamping jaws, means on each jaw to engage the conductor, supporting means on one jaw to secure the clamp to a support, means on the other jaw encircling the supporting means, means on the supporting means coac'ting with the encircling means to limit the relative longitudinal movement of the jaws in one direction and means on one of the jaws coacting with means on the other jaw to move the jaws relativeto each other into clamping engagement on the conductor.
15. The combination with a support of a conductor clamp comprising a pair of jaws.
