Be it known that I, GEORGE TVVAIDIHER,
a citizen of the United States,

It will be understood that lr` do not desire to be confined to this specific adaptation of my invention, but comprehend within it suitable modifications which may be necessary in adapting it to varying condi,- tions.
Having thus fully described my invention, what i claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:`
l. In a core member, a tubular member with a pouring` aperture therein. a stepped portion on the exterior thereof for engagement with green sand, and a cutaway portion on the interior thereof adapted to form the exterior of a hub of a cast. wheel.
2. ln a core member, a tubular member with a pouring aperture therein, a stepped portion on the exterior thereof for engagement with green sand, and a cutaway portion on the interior thereof adapted to forni the exterior of a hub of a cast wheel, a portion of said member being adapted to form formed f the inner ends of spoke cores for forming the spokes, and a portion of the hub of said Wheels.
3. In a core member, a tubular member with a pouring aperture therein, a stepped portion on the exterior thereof for engagement With green sand, and a cutaway portion on the interior thereof adapted to form the exterior of a hub of a cast Wheel, a portion of said member being adapted to form the inner ends of spoke cores for forming the spokes, a portion of the hub of said Wheels, andl chaplets between the hub portion of this core member and the portions serving as the inner ends of the spo-ke cores.
4. In a core, a cylindrical member having a plurality of separated arms radiating therefrom, a pouring tubular portion having an aperture therein, and means carried by said arms to serve as portions of the inner ends of spokecores, and means thereo-n for engaging therewith the inner ends of cope portions of the spoke cores.
5. In a core, a cylindrical member having a plurality of separated arms radiating therefrom, a pouring tubular portion having an aperture therein, means carried by said arms to serve as portions of the inner endsk of spoke cores, means thereon for engaging therewith the inner ends of cope portions of the spoke cores, and means on the exterior thereof for engagement with green sand to prevent the vertical and lateral movement of the member.
6. In combination in a flask With green sand in the drag portion thereof, an angular hub forming member of dry sand located thereon, spoke cores located thereon, a hub core member to form the exterior of the hub, and a portion of the spokes moulded as a unit on the inner ends of the member to form a portion of the inner ends thereof, said portions being in engagement With the drag and cope portions of the spoke cores.
7. In combination in a flask With green sand in the drag portion thereof, an angular hub forming member of dry sand located cores located thereon, a. hub core member to form the exterior of the hub, and a portion of the spokes moulded as a unit on the inner ends of the member to form a portion of the inner ends thereof, said portions being in engagement with the drag and cope portions of the spoke cores, said member having a passageway for the introduction of metal to the Wheel to be cast and means exterior thereof to prevent the lateral and vertical shifting of said member with which the green sand is in engagement.
8. In combination, a flask, a spoke core, a hub core and a hub cap core having a pouring aperture, and means integral therewith forming a portion of the inner ends ofthe spokes.
