An operating-table attachment substantially as specified by claim l, the said anchoring pulley-securing means being embodied in a base plate having upstanding` constituting the weight and power arms of a lever of the second class, and provided with guiding means, a pad mounted on the bar at the junction of said arms, a ulcrum member, means unyieldingly connecting said member with the table frame, and an elongated iiexible lever extensionv connected at one end with the weight arm, and including a bi'ght- `forming portion engagingA said Jfulcrum member, a running portion guided by said guiding means, and a free end portion'A at the outer end of the power arm, the said pad con-` stituting a weight point, adapted to be located over said yielding support and to be depressed by downward pressure on the power arm. l
