WITNESS: ATTORNEY INVDNTOR A1TORNEY May 22, 11923.
c. E. JENSEN EGG HEATER Filed Aug. 28, 1922 Patented May 22, T9233.
CHRISTIAN E. JENSEN, OF CUYAHQG'A FALLS, OHIO.
EGG BEATEB.
Application filed August 28, 19255.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that T, CHRISTIAN E; JnNsnN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cuyahoga Falls, in the county of Summit and State of Ohio, have invented new and useful Improvements in Egg Beaters, of which the followin is a specification.
This invention relates to a heater for eggs and the like, the general object of the invention being to provide a small water m0- tor for operating the device, the motor forming a part of the device.
Another object of the invention is to make the device so it can rest on the bottom of a sink or the like and under a faucet so a stream of water can pass through the motor and flow to exhaust.
The invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claims.
In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is a view showing the device in use.
Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view through the device.
Figure 3 is a section on line 3-3 of Figure 2.
Figure 4 is a view of a form of faucet en gaging member.
Figure 5 is a view of another form of member, for engaging a faucet.
In these views, 1 indicates a jar or recep tacle for containing the egg or other material to he whipped, 2 is the cover for the jar which may have threaded connection therewith and 3 indicates the beater shaft which is journaled in the cover and extends into the jar where it is provided with the beater which is formed of a rod 41., connected to the shaft at its ends by the connections 5. The cover is formed with a motor case 2' in which is located the water wheel 6 the hub of which is secured to the shaft 3. An inlet port 7 is made in the case, near the side thereof so that water passing through the same will strike the blades at one side of the wheel and thus the wheel will be rotated. A

large opening 8 is made in the bottom of the case and this opening is enclosed by a rectangular extension 9 of the case, which forms a discharge for the water passing through the device. A wire 10 is bent around the jar, near the top thereof, with its ends adapted to form supporting legs for the device. A vent 2 is formed in the cover.
[is the device only requires a small stream of water to operate it, I provide means for reducing the flow of water from a faucet or the like, such means consisting of a member or stopper ll for use with faucets that are not threaded and a member 12 for use with faucets that are threaded. The member 11 comprises a threaded tube 13 having a head at one end for engaging a stopper 14, when the tube is passed through the stopper, a washer 15 for engaging the other end of the stopper and a winged nut 16 threaded on the tube and holding the parts together. The passage in the tube provides a small flow of water and when this member is pushed into a faucetand the same opened, a small stream of water can be directed through the port 7 against the water wheel to turn the same and thus actuate the beater device to whip the material in the jar. When the faucet is a threaded one the member 12 is used, this member having a screw cap 17 for engaging the threaded part of the faucet and a spout 18 for directing the water through the motor case.
From the foregoing it will be seen that and the like can be beaten by simply placing them in the device and then placing the device under a stream of water. The device will then need no further attention until the material has been whipped and is ready to be removed.
I desire it to be understood that I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
lhl'avingthus described my invention what I claim is 1. A device of the class described comprising a receptacle, a cover for the same, a casing formed with the cover and having an extension at its lower part providing an exhaust and a rest for the casing also having an inlet opening adjacent one side thereof, a shaft passing through the casing and into the receptacle, a- Water wheel on the shaft and arranged in the casing, and a heater on the shaft.
2. A device of the class described com- 5 prising a receptacle, a cover for the same,
a case formed with the cover and having an extension at 1ts lower part provldlng an exhaust and a rest for the casing also having
