citizen of the United States, and resident of ForestI-Iills, county of Queens, and State of New York, have invented an Improve-l ment in Games, of which the following de-, scription, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification, like letters on the drawings representing like parts.
My present invention relates to' games, and more particularly to a game and game apparatus having an educational value in addition to its value as a means for amusement.
Young people arealways interested in games, though heretofore it has been found difficult to keep them interested in educational games, the principal reason being that educatlonal games are too apt to stress the educational side of the. game. I have found that all young people are interested in stories that may be told to them, such for instance, as the well known childrens classics, as Little Red Ridin ,Hood, Little Goldilocks, and the'like. hildren do not, however, take such a keen interest in such stories if they have todo the reading themselves, and this is particularly true if the story is of any considerable length, Theyv do however, love' to play games, and I have,

Referring to the drawing, 10 designates a dwelling house, in cross section, exposing various rooms 11, 12 on the lowerfloor and rooms 13, and 14 on the upper floor, a stairway 15 vheading fromthe room 12 on the lower floor to the room 1 1 on the upper 0 floor. Starting at a point outside the house 10 is a slot or groove 16 leading from a sid-' ing 21 in which may be stored or positioned figures, such as 17, and withwhich the game is played. This groove 16 divides intotwo parts, 18 and 19-, the path 18 leading through i the rooms 11 and 12 on the lower floor and provided at suitable intervals with cut-outs or sidings 20 in which the various figures 17 may be moved during the progress of the W game. This path 18 leads from the room 12 up the stairway 15 and thence through the rooms 14.- and 13 and down through the path 19 to the groove 16, cut-outs or sidings 20 being provided in the path 18 in the rooms siding 21. Assuming that the game to be played is The-Three Bears, the house 10 has its rooms 11, 12, 13 and 14 suitably furnished with atable 26, chairs 27, beds 28 and bed 29 respectively,while enough sidings 20 are provided to allow the various figures 17 to as- ,sume'their proper positions. Reading from the story-of The Three Bears, the player or players-of the game move the various fig- .ures 17 to follow the story.
