Awhich the following is a specification.
r1`he obj eet of my invention is to provide a simple, durable and sanitary roost construetion designed to be used in poultry houses.
A further objectv is to provide an improved poultry roost detachably mounted in a container designed to carry disinfectant, so arranged that the said roost may be removed and the disinfectant renewed.
A further object is to provide improved ineans for supporting` a poultry roost formed of sheet metal and designed to carry detachable roost Ymembers formed of ya non-heat conducting material.
A further object is to provide a sanita-ry l support designed to carry detachable roost members formed of non-heat conducting material and also sanitary nestboxes.
These and other objects vvill be apparent to those skilled inthe art. i
My invention Consists in the construction, arrangement and combination of the various parts of the device, whereby the objects contemplated are attained, as hereinafter more fully set fmth, pointed out in my claims, and illustrated in the aecomlntnying` draufings, in which:

Mounted at equal intervals between the brackets 16, I have provided somewhat larger lnaekets 17 also formed of pressed sheet metal, each of which is provided With a notch 18 in its upper surface. This plate may be of a lengthV equal to the width of the rows oi nests. or an individual door might be provided ior each nest; .A bottom member 31 is provided which is hinged to the flanges 29 at their back ends, the lront end of the said member being secured against downward movement bya suitable hook 32. By this arrangement. I have provided a series oiE nests beneath the platos 24 which are constructed entirely oi2 sheet metal and provided with a hinged bottom 31` which linav be unhooked at its forward edge and allowed to swing to a vertical position, at which time any litter or nest material may be emptied to the ground. The bottom may be then hooked to its horizontal position and ;new .and clean. nest material may be placed through the doorway by opening the door 30. The door 30 alsoiserves the j iurpose as before stated of removing the eggs from the nest. o
Thus it will be seen that I have provided a nest having a. top, a bottom. two sides and one end closed, thebacls end of the nest being lar/,Liso
open which is beneath the central portion o'f the plates 24. In poultry houses of this construction, the light usually enters the front. This provides a. comparatively dark nest for thefowls which makes a very desir able and attractive place for their nest.
By thisconstruction, it willbe seen that lies inthe l'act that the entire structure may be. removed from the building so-that the attendant may enter the building and clean it without having to reach under or stoop, as the roost andthe plates 21lare preferably mounted about two and one-half or three feet above the loorso that the space above them may be utilized kfor roo-sts, while the space ybelow may be `utilized for floor space in which the fowls may exercise.
