As before fdescribed the gear 43 gets its motion from the shaft 45 and through the connection heretofore described with the motor the orbital movement of the spindle is accomplished. This speed maybe varied by changing the flocation of the friction pulley 7 9 on the friction disc 78. An arm 84 carriesftlie friction pulley 7 9 and controls its position relatively to the yaxis of the disc. rlhe arm 84 is slidiiirly mounted on an upright shaft 86 (see Fig. 3) by means of the bearings 87. An arm 86 extends from this bearing through the front of the frame and a locking pin 89 is arranged in ythe arm 8S and is adapted to be inserted in the openings 9() on the frame so as to lock the friction pulley iii-its different adjustments to vary the speed at which the spindle is given orbital movement in that part of the path in which `the u Work @is accomplished.
[The intermediate orbital movement of the Work-carrying means should be, as before `described, rapid and of uniform speed.
