The invention relates to conveyers of that type in which the load is carried by a trolley traveling upon a track which is bent orcurved in transverse planes. It is the object of the invention to permit freedom of movement in conformity to the contour of the track and at the same time' to support the load without lateral stress upon the conveyer chain. It is a further object to permit of supporting the load at points intermediate the trolleys without lateral stress upon the chain. With these objects in view the invention consists in various features of forth.

comprises a pair of spaced parallel rails.
B are trolley wheels for traveling onthe rails A being provided with the flanges C for preventing lateral displacement andbeing mounted upon a non-revoluble axle D.
E is a hanger clamped upon the central portion of the axle D and depending therefrom between the rails of the track A. rIvhe hangers E are connected to each other through a series of links F, which `are pivotally connected at G to swing in`a plane transverse to the plane f rotation vof the wheels.

For certain 4uses,lit is desirable to provide suspension means for the load intermediate If such suspension devices were attached` directly tothe chain, it would throw an objectionable lateral stress thereon and upon the connecting pivots G. I have, therefore, provided intermediate the hangers rigid longitudinally-extending bearings M which are connected to the depending portion of the hangers E through the medium of links N and O. Along the bars M are arranged a series of hooks P similar to the hooks L and so spaced as to provide for engagement with the load wherever desired. These hooks are preferably connected by providing a pair of bars M loe-- tween which the eyes of the hooks are arranged to engage cross beams Q.
In use, when the track A is bent in a Vertical plane, the pivot pins H will-permit an angular movement ofthe chain sections intermediate the hangers E; on the other hand, where the track is ,bent or curved in a horizontal plane,l the pivots G connecting adjacent links will permit of the corresponding bending of the chain. Where the load is supported by the hooks L, the weight will be carried by thel trolleys B through the medium of the hanger E, vbut'if the load is suspended from any one of the intermediate hooks P, the stress willlbe transmitted through the vlinks M and O to the adjacent hangers E without @any lateral stress upon the intermediate portion of the chain. It will also be understood lthat when the chain is bent or curved in horizontal` y* What I claim as my invention is:

In a conveyer, the combination with a series of trolley wheels, of hangers depending from said wheels and provided with means for attachment of a load thereto, a link chain connecting said hangers comprising a series of links intermediate adjacent hangers pivotally connected to each other to swin in a path transverse to the plane of rotation of said trolley wheels and being pivotally connected to one of said hangers to swing in a path parallel to the plane of rotation.
4. In a conveyer, the combination with a' track bent or curved in transverse planes,
of a series of trolley wheels for traveling on. said track, hangers depending from said trolley wheels and provided with means for attachment of a load thereto, anda link chain connecting said hangers, the portions intermediate adjacent hangers comprising a y plurality of links pivotally connected to one of the hangers in a plane transverse to the plane of rotation of thel trolley wheels and pivotally connected t-o the opposite hanger in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of said wheels, a rigid load-carrying member extending between' adjacent hangers and supported thereby, and means of attachment between said rigid load-supporting member and hangers permitting limited relative movement of the hangers.
5. In a conveyer, the combination with a track bent or curved in transverse planes, of a series of trolle wheels traveling upon said track, hangers epending from said trolley wheels, a link chain connecting said hangers, the portion thereof intermediate adjacent hangers comprising a plurality of links pivotally connected to each other, and one of the hangers'in a plane transverse to the plane of rotationto said wheels and pivotally connected to the -opposite hanger in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of said wheels, a load-carrying bar extending between hangers and supported therefrom, and links forming the supporting connection for said bar from said hanger permitting limited relative adjustment of the-latter.
6. In a conveyer, the combination with a trolley wheel, of a hanger depending therefrom and provided lat its lower end with means for attachment of a load thereto, a`
link chain connecting said hanger with similar hangers, the portion of said chain on one side of said hanger being pivotally attachedthereto to swin in the plane of rotation of said trolley w eel, and the portion' on the` opposite side of said hanger beingv pivotally connected thereto to swing in a plane transverse to the plane of rotation of said wheel. n
7. In a conve er, the combination with a trolley wheel, o a hanger depending therefrom having a hook at its lower end for attachment of a load and a laterally extending portion intermediate its ends, a link chain connected to said hanger with a portion on one side thereof attached to said laterally extending portion andl pivoted to swing in a plane 'transverse to the plane of `rotation of said trolley wheel and the'portionfupon the opposite side of said hanger being pivoted thereto to swing in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of said wheel. v
8. In a conveyer, the'combination with a track, curved or bent in transverse planes and a series of trolley wheels for traveling over said track, han ers de ending from said trolley wheels, a link chain for connecting said hangers, the portions thereof intermediate hangers comprising a plurality of links pivotally connected to swing in a plane transverse to the plane of rotation of said wheels, and pivotally connected to one of said hangers to swing in a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of said wheels, a rigid v-bar extending intermediate hangers, a series of closely spaced load-carrying hooks'attached to said rigid bar and to said hangers and inclined links for attachin the ends o said bar to said hangers permitting of limited relative movement of the latter.
. 9. In a conveyer, the combination with a series of axles and trolley wheels mounted thereon, of hangers depending from said axles and directly connected thereto, said hangers being provided with means for attachment of a load, and a flexible draft connection between .said hangers.
10. In a conveyer, the combination with a series of trolle wheels, of hangers depending from said trolley wheels in substantially the vertical plane thereof and provided with means for attachment of a load, and a flexible draft connection betweensaid hangers. l
11. In a. conveyer, the combination with a track, of a series of trolley wheels for travelling on said track, hangers depending from said trolley wheels, a link chain connecting said hangers, a rigid load supporting member extending between adjacent hangers and supported thereby, and means of attachment between said load supporting member and hangers permitting limited relative movement of said hangers.
