. Be it known that I, Cnn rono Onno STEMEN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Detroit, in thecounty of Wayne and State'of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Envelopes, of which the following is a specification. i

This invention relates to envelopes and more particularly to one of that type adaptedfor use where a reply is anticipated or for; commercial use where an envelope is placed inside of another envelope for a 1'e-' ply, the present device serving to obviate the necessity of employing or having on hand two difi'erent sizes of envelopes and permittingpne to take the place of the two, thus resulting'in a great saving in paper in addition to the cost of envelopes since envelopes constructed i i-accordance with the present" invention requires less paper than.

Referring to the drawings in detail in which like reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, my lmproved envelope comprises a front portlon 10 contiguous with thebottom i edge ofthe back portion 11, bothbeing of vertical sectional view of' equal size, and formed 'of paper for other suitable material common in the art. addition, the flaps 15, and 20 maybe simultaneously folded into the envelopes and the envelope then mailed for one cent postage, both flaps arranged in this manner serving to stiffen the envelope so that accidental opening or displacement is avoided. In addition, there will also be no mistake in the return address as it is always plain on the envelope or printed thereon by the party or firm using the same.

In view of the foregoing it is thought that implement and lessening the danger of damthe operation of the device will be readily understood and in view of the simplicity and i practical value, that it will readilycommend itself to those skilled in the art.
