This happens whenever paper fiassinp; filllI'O'Ltg'l'] the folding machine does not reach the stacker intimeto rock-the blades '7 away from the back points 10 before the -solenoid 19 has time to liftx'the connector 29 to the back points30'. This always happens in "the event of a choke of the paper ti-"ansp'i'ring in .the folding mechanism.

Claims.
1. The combination of an actuating mechanism for a folding machine having stacker for moving successively the folded slieets toward a-delivery station of said machine; an electrica1lyactuated stopping mechanism for said machine; and means operatively connected with said folding ma chine adjacent the delivery'stat-ion thereof,
comprising a switch member operably dis anism for a folding machine; an electric circuit incorporating an en'ar'o-mecmnien device for actuating the operating circuit of a stopping mechanism for said folding'nia chine; a plurality of electr c-mechanical devices for actuating said device; timing means for retarding the operation Of the first mentioned electro-mechanical device during the passage of 'a sheet of paper from the feed to the delivery of a paper folding machine; and timing means for retarding' said electro-mcchanica-l devices v, in corrc spondence with the operation of the 'deliv ery element of said folding machine.
3. The combination of an actuating mech anism for a folding machine; an electric circuit incorporating an 'electro-iuechanical devi'c'efor actuating the operating circuit of a stopping mechanism for said foldingmachine; a circuit breaker controlling said electric circuit, operably connected with the delivery element of said folding machine; and a timingdevice for rei'idering saidel'ectrio circuit in service condition, said tii'ning device being ret-ariilcd in its action to correspend with the interval of time required to run a sheet through said :foldingmach'in'e.
