To all '20 from it may concern Be] it known that we, MAX SMALL and Louis S ALL, citizens of the United States, residing at Bufi'alo, in the county of Eric and State of New York, have invented cer tain new and useful Improvements in Display Racks, of which the following a specification. a a i Our invent-ion relates to improvements in display racks, and more particularly to that type of rack for holding and displaying small articles of merchandise, such ties, ribbons, or other articles. J In display raclrs' now in use for such purposes, considerable loss occursto merchants, use to the fact that ties or other small articlesso displayed are stolen, as no means is provided for locking the articles on the rack. a .Uur invention has for its primary object, to provide-a simple and inexpensive rack wherein articles displayed thereon are locked so that they cannot be stolen and so that the merchant or clerks will have to unlock the 2 rack before anarticle can be removed therefrom. y y A furtherobject of our invention is to so construct a rack that a large number of articles of merchandise can be displayed thereon and so any of the articles can be brought to View of the purchaser without.

8 A display rack comprising; an upright. a head rotatable on said upright and coinprising a hub having an a xial borc to rcccive the upper end of said upright and a ring surrounding said hub and spaced thereirom, said ring being; supported by said huh, needles pivotally connected to said ring and extending inwardly towards s'aid hub, and means for locking the inner ends of said needles to said hub to prevent the removal of articles displayed an said needles.

A display rack comprising an upright having; a rounded upper extremity, a head having a. hub provided with an axial bore receiving the upper end of said upright and having the rounded extremity of said up right bearing against the inner or end wall of said bore. a ring; surrounding said huh. arms connectingsaid hub with said ring. lugs on said ring arranged in pairs and having the pairs spaced at regular intervals around the same, a needle pivotally secured between eachpair of lugs and extending inwardly to said hub, a locking element on 1 aeaeee said'hub for looking the inner ends of the needles thereto, and means for locking said a locking element to said hub.

11. A display rack comprising an upright and a head rotatable on said upright, said head having a hub provided with depres sions around its margin on its upperside,

a ring surrounding said hub and spaced therefrom, arms connecting said ring and hub, a look plate pivotally secured to said hub and having marginal depressions alined with the depressions'in said hub, needles secured to said ring and extending inwardly therefrom, said needles havingtheir pointed inner ends in alined depressions of said hub and look plate, and means for locking said lock plate to said hub.

A display raclrcomprising an upright and a head on saidupright, said-head having a hub provided with a disk-like member at its upper end providing a'fiatupper face and having depressions at the margin of said upper face spaced around the same, said disk-like member having a lug extending from its edge and a loop formed on its edge at a point diametrically opposite said lug, a lock plate having a lug pivotally connected to the lug of said disk-like memherand having a loop-alined with the loop of said disk-like member, said lock plate having depressions on its underside alined with the depressions in said disk-like mem tures.
