This presents the advantage that when the matches are connected at the lower ends in a strip and the strip is folded so that the matches are placed upon one another au igniting beard c is always placed upon a ilariminghead 7), trfo priming heads never being placed the one upon the other. Any danger oli selt-ignition by the rubbing together of the priming heads is thus prevented. Furthermore the packet ot toldcd up matclrstiips is quite thin and compact.
The matches are preferably made in a comb or strip or paper ot the usual form and the strip is preferably folded as above set forth or cut to suitable lengths.
