- REMOVABLE ELEVATOR.
`Application filed August 11, 1921. Serial No. 491,330.
T0 all r1072.072?, ymay conce/rui Be it known that I, doi-Larmes Jaconns lNEYERMAN, guild inspector, subject of `the Queen of the Netherlands. residing at Rotterdam, Netherlands, 58 Sclioonebergeweg, have invented certain new and useful lmi'novcinrnts in Removable Elevator',
y which the following' is a specification.
The subject of the invention is a removable elevator',` the top of vwhich is capable to be folded back, the side view having the form lof an isosceles triangle along one `of the sides of which a goods platform runs,
this elevator possessing moreover a simple construction which yopens a possibility of goods being able to be rolled or pushed from the ground on to the platform that can be let down, without'the elevator showing any inclination to go backwards.
After folding` back the top, the apparatusis capable of being easily introduced under low rafters, driving belts, electric cables etc., while the triangular form of the frame increases they stability of the ary rangement." kF or preventing` the apparatus running` away when goods are rolled or pushed from the ground on to the platform,
the whole arrangement is supported. by
means ofia runningaXle introduced in the centre and by the introduction at one side of the axle of one or more screw-Jackmby screwing' of which the arrangement can be' tilted over on that axle till it is standingfirmly on the ,Q'round. n n i Fork clearness sake. the arrangement, as an example, is further described on the drawing. y
Figure 'l a front View;
Figure 2 is a side viewkwith the folding` top up, and
Iligure 3 is a. side view with the folding1 top down,
In theseillustrations, l is the upright frame, 2 isthe folding top, 3 is thegoods platform and 4 the axlewvitli wheels,vr by`45 means of which the arrangement can be moved and upon which it can be tilted over to be fixed. To this purpose screwjacks, indicated at 5, are constructed on the floor screwjacks are screwed down till the oppo-` joists. When the elevator is in use, these` 50 site end of the floor (platform side) touchesk l the ground; so the elevator stands firmly on the ground. The hoisting drum is in-,r dicated at 6; 7 is the hoisting cable that y runs over a pulley '8, and 9 and 10 are corresponding holes through which a bolt can be inserted to fix the top in an upright position. v y 1When the apparatus, standing firmly on the ground, has its top folded-down and the f y 'hoisting cable put over a pulley fixed any- WhereV at the ceiling' of the building, the apparatus may be used as a winch only. Having now fully described my said in- 65 vention, what I claim anddesire'to secure by Letters Patent iS: y i i A portable elevator comprising a base portion and an upright frame, the upright frame having' the form vof an isosceles triangle in side elevation, a portion of said upright frame beingv` hinged to fold down-` `wardly along one of the sides of saidtriangle, a goods platform` projecting' laterally from said base portion, a Wheeled axle 75
