IMPROVED COMPOUNDS FOR CLEANING METALS, &c.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 144,215, dated November 4, 1873; application filed September 11, 1 3.
To all whom it may concern:
Be-it known that I, WILLIAM Z. MOORE, of Vallejo, Solano county, State of California, have invented a Cleansing and Polishing Soap and I do hereby declare the following description sufficient to cnableany person skilled in the art or science to which it most nearly appertains to make and use my said invention without further invention or experiment.
The object of my invention is to provide a compound for cleansing and polishing, which I call Brilliant Soap; and it is more especially useful in cleaning bright metal work, glass, china, &c., to all of which substances it gives a clear and beautiful polish.
The ingredients which I employ are Spanish whiting, aniline red, and oil of Sassafras, in proportions about as given below: Spanish whiting, twenty pounds; aniline red, one dram; oil of sa-ssa-fras,one-l1alf ounce. These and seal.
