In a freight car, the combination with the doorway trame and its opening, of a slideway extending longitudinally of the car siding toward said opening7 a pivoted lower grain door section adapted to be horizontally disposed in said opening when in closed position,-there being a space between the slideway and the doorway opening into which said section may be moved whereby it assumes a vertical open position clear of said opening, and a second door section movable from its open position invsaid slideway to its closed position in said opening above said pivoted door section.
