Vith this construction it will be seen that when one set of corners of the stripping members have become worn, the stripping members mayl be repositioned so that a fresh set of corners may be used, and when.` these iny turn become f worn, the remaining set of corners may be used. Also, by adjustment of the clamping block 24, the stripping members may be relatively adjusted to regulate the passage for the thread through the stripping device so as to leave any desired amount of wax on the thread.
.The nature. and scope of the present invention having been indicated, and a'device embodying the several features of the invention in their preferred form having been specifically described, what is claimed is: 1. A thread waxing device of thev class `described having, in combination, polyg- .onal-shaped stripping members of wire havying overlapping corner portions cooperating to form a passage' for the thread between them and capable of being rearranged to `cause different corner portions to form the thread passage, and means for holding the strippingmembers in position.

A thread waxing device of the class described having, .inycombinatiom two cooperating oppositely disposed stripping members having overlapping portions provided with internal surfaces forming opposite walls of a passage for the thread positioned transverse to the plane of said overlapping portions. f
5. A thread waxing device oi thel class described having, in combination, triangular-shaped stripping members of wire having overlapping corner portions cooperating to form a passage for the thread between them.

A threadwaxing device of the class described having, in combination, triangular-shaped stripping members of wire yhaving overlapping corner portions cooperating to form a passa-ge for the thread between them, and means for relatively adjusting said stripping members to vary the size of the passage for the thread.
7. A thread waxing device of the class described having, in combination, triangular-shaped stripping members of wire Ahaving overlapping corner portions cooperating to. form a passage for the thread, and means for removably securing said members in place. f v

A thread waxing device of the class described having, in combination, a chamber having an inwardly projecting V-shaped Wall, two spirally formed stripping mem- 5 ber having an inwardly projecting V- shapedwall, tvvo spirally formed stripping members, the coils of Which are triangularV in shape having adjacent corners arranged to form a passage for the thread, one side of each stripping member being adjacent a sideof the V-shaped Wall respectively, and a member adjustable toward and from said Wall for clamping said members against said Wall.

A thread Waxing device of the class described having, in combination, polygonal-shaped stripping members having corner portions constructed and arranged to cooperate to form a passage for the thread and capable of being rearranged to cause different corner portions to form the thread passage, and means for holding the stripping members in position.
