18 and 19 of the tubular flap section 11 are then inturned and connected by suitable lines of stitching. 4 As clearly illustrated in Fig. 2 there is a line of stitching 20 extending through these inturned end sections and also through the outer .sections of the 'tubular Hap member and an additional line of stitch- .ing -indicated at 21 which extends` only through the sections of the-tubular flap member adjacent the extremities of the inturned ends of the fabric. This additional line of stitches indicated at 21 thus acts as a base or -reinforcement for the ends of the inturned portions, and also prevents the same from fraying or becoming unraveled. The ends of the band member are preferably stitched as indicatedat 22 in any suitable manner to prevent' these edges from fraying or becoming unraveled. For example, this stitch ma be the Well known button hole stitch.

Referring to Figs. 4, 5 and 6, the vform of the collar illustrated is the same as that to b shown and described in the other form of the invention, with the exception that the end portions of the band member 10 instead of eing woven solid are Woven tubular as indicated at 27 and 28 so that the entire end portions of bothmembers of the collar are of a tubular Weave construction. ln this structure the strips of material are cut transversely into the collar sections andthe end edges of the fiap yportions thereof' turned in and stitched in the same manner as that hereinbefore describedfor finishing the end sections of the tubularilap member 11. Moreover, in this form of the invention in orderto stiffen and strengthenv the tubular end sectionsof the. band member I may employ inserts indicated at 29 made of any suitable material and placed between the parts forming the tubular end sections of the band member 10. These insert ,members 29 may be secured in position by the same lines of stitching Which connect the inturned extremities of the tubular sections at the ends of the band member.

From the foregoing it Will belunderstood that the collar made in accordance with this invention is Woven. to shape in one piece With the band section preferably Woven solid and the flap section Woventubular. and adapted to be folded over on either side of the band member to make the collar reversible, and the parts of the collar are reinforced in such a manner as to strengthen the same at theV-v 1. A collar comprising a neck band member and a flap member, the said members being Woven in one piece, with a part of the fiap member Woven solid and provided in. the Weaving with a reinforced longitudinal edge, the flap member being Woven tubular and stitched to form the ends of the flap member of the collar.

5. A collar comprising a band member and a Hap member, the said members being woven in one piece, with e part of the band member being Woven Solid and provided in the weaving with a reinforced longitudinal edge and reinforced section for determining the fold line, the said Hap member being; Woven tubular and provided inthe weaving with a reinforced longitudinal edge, with the transverse edges thereof inturned and stitched to form the ends of the flap member of the collar.
