The condition of steelflat bar stock as manufactured for general commercial purposes 1s known to variate from its nominal size and as this stock is used in a variety of ways, in one instance for door latches, my invention consists of an improvement in grip-handles, wherein I provide means for the reception of these latches, means for the self adjustment to and gripping the bars as they variate from the nominal size and means for a convenient finger purchase on handle to operate same.
I obtain the objects of my invention by the construction shown in the accompanying drawing in which Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the front and side elevation. Fig. 2 is an enlarged section on line A-B of Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawing, the numeral 1 is a body in which a socket 8 with the internal face 4: of side walls converging as shown in Fig. 2 for the uniform bearing of in socket, forcing apart the side walls by ing a frictional grip on inserted bar as the Specification of Letters Patent.
