Beit known that I, JOHANN HooKn, a.
citizen of the Republic of @Zeche-Slovakia, and resident of Wehetitz, near Karlsbad, @Zeche-Slovakia, have invented new and useful Improvements in Motor Trucks, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact specification.
The present invention relates to a motor truck with removable body, in which the bottom of the removable body rests upon the underframe of the car by means of two roof-like positioning brackets of male and female form so as to engage with oneanother in order to ensure or adjust the correct relative position between the underframe and the removable body of the car.
The accompanying drawing shows byk way of example anembodiment of the present invention; d v l Figs. '1 and 2 are end views of the car, with its body showninv transverse section, lowered upon the underframeof the car and raised therefrom respectively, whilstv Fig. 3 is a plan View of a modification of the underframe.
As it is well known, the car body a 1 and 2) is raisable by means of jacks b arranged on the underframe 0 and capable of being supported upon stays d arranged on the car body so as to be capable of being lowered `on to the earth, so that after actuating the jacks in the reverse direction, the underframe can be carried away from beneath the car body which remainsin.
place and afterwards be conveyed again below the same to allow of lowering of ,theV
car body upon the underframe.
The arrangements designed to ensure or adjust a correct seating of the car body ay on the underframe c consists in that the car bodyv is `provided on 'the lower face Aof its bottom with a positioning saddle c con stituting a hollow or female bracket and arranged to fit over a corresponding male roof-like positioning bracket f (Figs. 1 and 2) provided ron the underframe. It is obvious that, owing to this female and male engagement of the positioning brackets, when thepunderframe happens to be. conveyed somewhat obliquely under the car body, the laterally displaced relative positions of the body car andthe underframe" can be automatically compensated on the lowering of the car body, the lateral walls Specification of Letters` Patent.- y Application filed October 31, 1921.. -Serial No. 511,880.-v d
vpurposes to ensure the correct seating of .of the saddle vc sliding on those of the Vbracket f to adjust themselves tothe correct middle position.
They positioning bracket i. is" grooved `r i transversely in its forward and rearwardy part to receive the roof-liketransverse v.
beams g connected with the jacks I), these transverse beams, owing to their particulary form, serving yadditionally to positioning the saddle c or'the oar body. y i d Insteadv of extending. throughout the length of the car,A the roof-like bracket on the underframe can be formed by. several.`
separate roof-.like transverse beams trigidly connected to theunderfr'ame, las shownfor example in the modification of Fig.y 3.
male positioning brackets on the underframe and the car sav body to ensure or adjust correct seating of d the latter upon the underframe.
2. Ina motor truck, 'an underframe, a-
movable car body thereon, means` to `raise said car body from the underframe, a female positioning bracket in formof a saddleon the underside of the car' body and a male rooflike positioning brackety on the underframe to receivethe said saddle bracket foradjusting or positioning purposes( 3. In a motor truck, an underframe, auf
movable car body thereon, means to'raisel Y,
said car body from the underframe, a fe- 'I male positioning bracket in form of a saddle on the underside of the car body and a maleV roof-like ypositioning bracket on the underframe to receivev` the said bracket for adjusting or. positioning purposes, the underframe being provided with y.
raisable roof-,like transverse beams ars' ranged for the raising of the car body and `to contribute also to the positioning of the latter on the underframe.
4;. In a motor truck, and underframe, a Y
movable car body thereon, means to raise saddle j said body from the underframe, ai e-` 1n i Witness whereof I bave hereunto 10 male positioning bracket in forni of a saddle signed my neme this 6th day of October i on the underside of the oar body and a male 1921, in the `presence of two subscribing roof-like positioning breeket'on'the `nndei- Witnesses.'
