IMPROVEMENT IN BRICKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 142,087., dated August 26, 1873; application filed May 26, 1873.

Be it known that I, JAMES DENNEN, of the city of Chicago, county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain Improvements in Brick, of which the following is a specification:
The brick is composed of a composition of matter,.no clay whatever is used, they need no burning, and can be manufactured in onehaTfYh eYime that other bricks require.
To manufacture the brick, take one pint of broken stone one pint of white sta l, onequarter ot a pound of Venetian ret one pint of lime-water one gill of fiiieetl-oil, and one quart of cement. Mix these ingre ients well
