.My invention relates to structure for interrupting an"elec tric'circuit, and particularly for; interrupting theprimary of the ignition circuit of anzinternal combustion ,My. inventi0n resides in apparatus of the character referred to comprising a base or plate member of insulating material in which isembedded a condenser and suitable inserts serving as terminals and supports for. the interrupter members, suitable connections being formed or embedded within the'jins'ulating base.

Referring to the drawings, the base plate, supporting member or base plate 1 is of insulating. material, preferably of condensite, bakelite or other suitable mold-a ble insulating material.

A conductor 24, molded within the base member 1, connects the terminal bushing 3 with the post 7. and with one terminal 25 of the condenser C. A conductor 26, molded within the base 1, connects the other terminal 27 of the condenser C with the post 20 and the latter with the terminal bushing 2.
Extending centrally through the base member 1 is the hole 28, upwardly through which extends, Figs. 6 and 7, the cam shaft 29.

The condenser C, as usual; redncesthe sparking at'tlie interrupter contacts 19 and 13, and so increases, the intensity of the secondary impulses, the condenser being connected. as well understood in the art, across the break between the interrupter contacts 12 and 13.

Interrupter structure comprising a rigid base plate of molded insulating material having an aperture extending therethrough from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending through said aperture, a metallic member providing a shaft bearing, said base plat secured to said metallic member, movable interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and cooperating with said cam shaft, and a stationary interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and insulated thereliiy from said movable contact structure 6. Interrupter structure comprising a rigid base plate of molded insulating material having an aperture extending therethrough from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending through said aperture, a metallic member providing a shaft bearing, said base plate secured to said metallic member, movable interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and cooperating with said cam shaft, a stationary interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and insulated thereby from said movable contact structure, and a condenser molded in said base plate and having its terminals connected, respectively, within said base plate to said interrupter contact structures.

Interrupter structure comprising a rigid base plate of molded insulating material having an aperture extending therethrough from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending through said aperture, a metallic member providing a shaft bearing. said base plate secured to said metallic member, movable interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and cooperating with said cam shaft, a stationary interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and insulated thereby from said movable contact structure, a condenser molded in said base plate and having its terminals connected, respectively, Within said base plate to said interrupter contact structures, and terminal members molded in said base plate and connected within the same with said interrupter contact structures.

Combined interrupter and distributor structure comprising a metallic member forming a shaft bearing, a. rigid base plate of molded insulating material secured upon said metallic member and having an aperture extending from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending through said aperture, movable interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and coacting with said cam shaft, fixed interrupter contact structure secured upon said base plate and insulated thereby from said movable contact structure, and a distributing cap of insulating material engaging at its end with said base plate.
9. Interrupter structure comprising a rigid base plate of molded insulating material having an aperture extending therethrough from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending freely through said aperture, a metallic member secured to said base plate and providing a bearing for said shaft, and interrupter cont-acts supported upon said base plate cooperating with said cam shaft.
10. Interrupter structure comprising a rigid base plate of molded insulating material having an aperture extending therethrough from one face to the other, a cam shaft extending freely through said aperture, a metallic member removably secured to said base plate providing a bearing for said cam shaft, a condenser molded in said base plate, interrupter contacts supported upon said base plate co-operating with said cam shaft, and terminal members and connections from said terminal members to said condenser and interrupter contacts, said terminal members and connections molded in said base plate.
