Be it known that I, SUSAN soN, a citizen of the United States, residing in Manhattan, yin the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Bath Brushes, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to bathfbrushes more partlcularlyto those `used for bathing purposes wherein the soap and the brush may be combined for convenience ofuse, Vand has for its object the production of a convenient container into which a cake of soapv may be placed and manipulated by the hand causing the saponaceous body to bubble and froth.

4A further object is the `production of a. sanitary soap container which may be carried in travelling without further protection.

The foregoing vand other features of my tion with the accompanying drawing forming a part of the'specification, in which I have represented my bath brush lembodying the improvements in the preferred form, after which I shall point out more particularly in the claims those featui'eswhich I believe to be new and of my own invention.

Referring to the accompanying one sheet of drawings, in which similarl characters of reference indicate like parts throughout the several views:

Figure 1 is a top view of my bath brush. Figure 2 is a section thereof.l Figure 3 is an end view thereof. In the carrying out of my invention I provide a receptacle 1 which is preferably made of soft flexible red rubber, but as will be readily understood it may be made of any other' material of similar properties. This container is slightly larger than a cake of cuniference of the holes are heavily rein forced and so fo-rmed'that the slot lcan be readily opened to allow a cake of soap'to ass and return to normal closed osition.

It isl -readily apparent that when the rubber container is manipulated in the hand the cross grooving of the interior rubs the soap soap sponge herein 'described and illustrated is in the form in which =I desire to construct it and that any changes or: variations may be made as may be convenient or desirable without departing from the salient features of my invention, and I therefore intend the following claims to cover such modifications tion, I claim 1. A bath brush comprising a rubber conas naturally fall within the Iinesof inven- .tainer adapted to receive a cake of soap;

each end of the -container being provided with an inlet slot-having its ends enlarged and the edges of the walls about said vslots being reinforced; and a multiplicity of hollow truncated Vprojections extending radially from said container.
